In Made-For-TV Political Event, DeSantis Says 20 Votes Out Of 11.1 Million Were Criminal

In a made-for-TV spectacle Thursday focused on the work of his new “election crimes” state law enforcement office, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) declared that 20 out of 11.1 million votes cast in the 2020 election in the state had been submitted by people allegedly voting illegally.

A vote for deSantis is a vote for TFG. The TFG Party sure doesn’t like votes or democracy. No doubt deSantis’s statement is part of the national Party talking points. I don’t hear public TFG Party leaders using a large megaphone calling BS. If any evidence of substantial voter fraud exists, show the evidence! The few cases of fraud I have seen were TFGers who live in “The (nutjob) Villages.”

“Very detail oriented governor” and “grandstanding micromanaging asshole” share a lot of the same characteristics in this case.

This is what passes for announcing for president in 2024. “I’ve put down my state’s criminals and I can put yours down too!”

DeSantis’s misrepresentations and distortions constitute election related fraud

  • maybe not prosecutable - but certainly entirely dishonest …

but hey… DeSantis is a fundamentally pandering dishonest person

A large proportion of the human race doesn’t understand math well enough to see how truly ridiculous this claim is. This is the unfortunate truth that allows so many people to to be deceived by flagrant con artists. Numbers like 20 out of 11.1 million have no real meaning outside of “there was some fraud.”

“Some” could be half or one in a million or one in a trillion and far too many people will see those ratios as not being significantly different.

Has Desatin offered any evidence that this miniscule percentage of alleged “fraudulent” votes actually affected the outcomes of any races in Florida? Is so, we may have a fraudulently elected Governor on our hands.

And these 20 (allegedly) fraudulent cases justify voter suppression tactics that disenfranchise hundreds of thousands. Sounds reasonable.

So is there some secret off the official listing of courses offered that teaches one to stand in front of an audience and lie, lie, and then triple down on the lying?

You’re not. You’re the totalitarian for voting to prevent the Scalises and Desantises of the world from exercising their 'freedom to hurt the proper people".

I think that’s a tell. Republicant’s really, REALLY believe in minority rule. If those 20 criminals had all voted R, just think of the possibilities!
