I’m cool with Fox being the end of his career.

And I am cool with the dying part.

“We need to do something to reassure our core audience. They’re our whole business model.”

And I thought that the business model of Fox News would be, y’know, presenting the news. Perhaps Smartmatic should include in the relief its lawsuit seeks an injunction against further use of the word “news” by the renamed Fox Misinformation Network.

There’s still time for you to die closely associated with Fox. Strike now while the iron is hot. I’m rooting for you buddy.

Someone like Carlson…born into wealth and privilege who chooses to focus on grievance…whose hatreds harm the less fortunate…and who gains a high salary in exchange for doing something which comes naturally.

I could go on…

I bow to no one in my contempt for and anger and indignation in regard to Tucker Carlson. But the dude’s private texts on Trump are weirdly good. “He’s going to break shit.” “He could destroy us.” “He’s a demonic force.” “I hate him passionately.” If he wasn’t a terrible, evil, reckless, sociopathic, cruel, selfish, lying son of a bitch, he might have been a decent reporter.

180 years ago nativists strongly opposed Irish immigrants to the U.S. because they had strange customs, were considered alien and can’t assimilate.

100 years ago nativists, including the descendants of Irish immigrants, strongly opposed Italians, Greeks, and Jews coming to the U.S. because they weren’t really white, had strange customs, and couldn’t be assimilated.

20 years ago nativists, including the descendants of Irish, Italian, Jewish, and Greek immigrants, strongly opposed Latino immigrants to the U.S. because they weren’t really white, had strange customs, and couldn’t assimilate.

Today, nativists, including descendants of prior immigrants, strongly oppose Asian and “dark” Latino immigrants coming to the U.S. because they aren’t really white, have strange customs, and couldn’t assimilate.

Rinse and repeat.

This here is why nobody should consider Fox News to be journalism. Its a propaganda network for conservative causes and the Republican party in particular. The Dominion lawsuit just provided the smoking gun evidence.
