I can tell you that his bravery is inspired by his sons bravery. My son’s first hospitalization for severe depression was at age 9 then again at age 18. My ex, his mom, was hospitalized in her 30s.
They are both amazingly inspirational people. My son hired, trained and supervised the temps Circ du Soliel would need from city to city. My ex is a Denver MLK Humanitarian Award recipient. My lad is now happily married and driving a tow truck in the Snoqualmie Pass area. I am infinitely lucky to have them both in my life.

During the trial, the Democrats should present as evidence the 15 min WaPo video, the one from the New Yorker and the one that intersperses Trump’s rhetoric with it being repeated verbatim by the insurrectionists.

In other news Ben Sasse had an article in “The Atlantic” to the effect that Qanon is bad and the GOP shouldn’t play footsie with it. I sent them a snippy note saying Ben Sasse is a big hypocrite who never did one goddamn actual thing to restrain Trump and if you’d asked me I’d have let him peddle his platitudes somewhere else.

Trump had set the whole thing up for a successful coup, but he failed. He failed because 81 mill > 74 mill; his people are morons; outnumbered patriots managed to buy time at the Capitol until Trump lost his resolve; & he never had any true legitimacy to remain as POTUS.

Along with your eerily accurate prediction (down to the tenth of a percent??) on the morning of the GA runoffs, this fucking nails it.
