Gosh, it’s almost as if we have different opinions about who the shitty Dems are. Or whether they’re really Dems at all, as opposed to just being anti-Democratic lefty numbskulls.
Who can doubt HRC’s busily planning how to get even more State Dept. personnel killed in Libya?
Now, all we need is a reactionary congress opportunistic enough to investigate it.
The point is not that we have opinions. Of course we all do. The point is that some opinions are forbidden in the Hive, an unwritten rule of sorts, and you are one of it’s loudest and most vociferous freelance enforcers.
But I guess it’s OK when you do it.
Off now to look up the definition of unrepentant hypocrite…
Alphonso David aided and abetted Andrew Cuomo’s attempt to discredit and damage the reputation of one of Cuomo’s accusers. In short, he was victimizing the ex-Cuomo aid. Now, in righteous indignation, David is claiming that he is being victimized by HRC. That is called hubris and deflection, traits David shares with Cuomo.
It sounds like David should join the GQP: screaming about how non-state actors (e.g., GoDaddy and Twitter) are violating their 1st Amendment Rights (“cancelling” them) is straight from that party’s playbook.
It is amazing to reflect on just how many powerful people Cuomo was able to enlist in his smear campaign. People who weren’t directly employed by him and should have had their own independent power base. It’s not just making a supportive comment when cornered by the press, they worked hard for him.
Now think about all that effort turned towards benefiting the people of New York, rather than protecting one narcissist.
And being a civil rights activist doesn’t prevent hubris. In fact, rising to the top of a (decidedly mainstream) civil rights organization tends to require at least a modicum.
His father who I had a lot of respect for, far more than the son would pull the same political game. It would be “hey I have a Republican senate that I have to contend with” while he would do little to recruit challengers to some members or tacitly support them.
“Human Rights Campaign”? as “HRC” – best known as “Hillary Rodham Clinton”? Kudos to your headline writer for giving a totally wrong impression and leaving an indelible memory with those who just read the headlines. Is this an attempt to placate the Vast Rightwing Conspiracy folks?
