The Retribution: New Florida Grand Jury Edition This gets a little convoluted, but it’s potentially quite important so stick with me for a moment here. Bloomberg News has sleuthed out a federal grand jury in Florida that could be another thread of President Trump’s wide-ranging investigate the investigators retribution scheme. The existence of a grand…
Today’s Hreather & Paul:
About that beef from Arentina…
As of right now, beef is labeled with country of origin in the grocery store. Some places, like Fresh Thyme, tell you where it was “born and raised”, avoiding the issue of bringing in live cattle and slaughtering it, here make it US beef.
Whatever shall TFG do?! TFG isn’t listening to him! Oh, wait, he’s supposed to listen to Putin. Well, in any case, they aren’t speaking right now, since after that last big beautiful phone call, this happened.
But most of all, it’s highly unusual for someone like Mike Davis to have information about what a yet-to-be empaneled federal grand jury is up to, including who it will target, even if he is good buddies with the U.S. attorney.
I’m sure a smart, capable defense attorney will be able to use this information, along with discovery, to put the prosecution on trial as Comey is currently doing in his case.
But, regardless, this stinks to high heaven.
Based on the other story that dropped about the same time - Federal Agents Detain Mix of Protesters and Migrants in Massive Manhattan Sweep
One could forgive the late release of the MM today. From the sound of the story, some of the staff actually went to the site of the raid.
As I said there, this is the first shot across the bow and, given the shock and awe reaction it’s receiving, there will be many more attacks on blue cities and States.
What I wondered later - can the governor call out the National Guard against the participants in the raid? This sounds like a serious attack by the Feds and should be treated as such.
Nobody puts that amount of work into your house unless you plan to spend the rest of your life there.
After some initial confusion over whether U.S. Special Counsel-nominee Paul Ingrassia was cancelling his appearance at his confirmation hearing tomorrow or outright withdrawing his nomination, the White House confirmed it was yanking him entirely in the wake of his I-have-a-bit-of-a-Nazi-streak text.
Honestly, I’m surprised they’re pulling his nomination. After all, at this point, we know who they are and what they stand for, and most of them don’t even care to hide it.
No, nothing meant and no harm or criticism at all. Caligula’s image was simply here among my papers. His was a face that just happened to slip in among my other documents. It is apropos of nothing, I assure you, nothing. No, just here . . . among my papers . . . he is only here by chance and coincidence . . . among my papers . . .
When the family assembled for Sunday dinner,
With their minds made up that they wouldn’t get thinner
On Argentine joint, potatoes and greens,
And the cook would appear from behind the scenes
And say in a voice that was broken with sorrow:
“I’m afraid you must wait and have dinner tomorrow!
For the joint has gone from the oven-like that!”
Then the family would say: “It’s that horrible cat!
It was Mungojerrie—or Rumpelteazer!”— And most of the time
they left it at that.
Well, that may only be a few months or years. Certainly not forever.
I hope.
Trump keeps saying his ballroom will be paid for with private funds, but once built where will the money required to maintain it come from?
Good question. And what favors are those private donors going to receive?
Who cares. Tear it down.
The Corruption: $230M Edition
President Trump has been pressing claims against the U.S. government since before he was re-elected seeking compensation for the investigations and prosecutions he faced from the Justice Department. Now those claims – totaling some $230 million – could be paid to him by his own Justice Department, where he installed his personal lawyers as top officials.
Even Trump – not known to be sensitive to appearances – recognized the conflict of interest: “I’m the one that makes the decision and that decision would have to go across my desk and it’s awfully strange to make a decision where I’m paying myself.”
My asshole “Democratic” senator thinks it’s all cool.

Marketplace window shopping reveals steep 2026 premium hikes as Congress stalls on extending enhanced ACA subsidies.
Might this give the GQP a little nudge on the shutdown?
Just another clear indication that Fetterman has jumped the shark…. I mean, the aisle and is no longer a Democrat in the Senate. The next question that should’ve been asked is how that $230 million dollars could have been spent helping the American people rather than the ego of the man that would be king.
Does he have a challenger yet? If not, why not run yourself? I’ll be your first donor.

- Point at things without context
- Lie on TV, just because
- Don’t apply for building permits
- Pay with other people’s money
- Golf every day, because why not
- Enjoy “executive time” for several hours a day, on top of golf time
Not a whole lot of work going on here.
