There was a meeting of potential donors. Only one donor is known to have actually committed funds, YouTube, according to the BBC. Given the optics of the demolition, perhaps others will get cold feet.

A little OT.
We ask ourselves where is DHS finding all these goons to attack the people in our cities. Think about this. Felon47 pardoned about 1,600 maga punks, most of whom were probably marginally employed. Most of these had no criminal record until J 6, and that record has been eliminated by the pardon. DHS has all their names addresses etc. A route to recruitment.

DHS and ICE may have overstepped. Police chiefs and police unions are usually in support of things like this, but it appears they weren’t given a heads up and from Hunter Walker’s reporting, officersr were left doing clean up and crowd control for hours afterwards.

Trump promised a conversion of our government, from a democracy to fascism. He spelled it all out, in rallies, in interviews, in the press. He was very explicit. This nation voted for fascism. The electorate wants a Stasi operating among them. They want minorities oppressed, persecuted, prosecuted, dismissed from their jobs, and deported. They want us to be East Germany with the veneer of fairness and equal rights under the law. But make no mistake, the people went to the polls in 2024 with a hunger for fascism and a brutal police state, and they were rewarded. Trump isn’t the enemy, the citizenry is the enemy.

Dems must tell voters they will restore the beautiful WH Rose Garden that Trump paved over. Dems need to start wearing roses in their lapels every day as a symbol. Dems should sell lapel flowers to raise funds. If Dems promise to restore America, voters will follow.
