How Did Rudy Get Trump’s Velvet-Rope COVID Treatment? | Talking Points Memo

Gee, Trump and his enablers and supporters espouse their “populist” leanings and policies. No, wait!!

I want to know if ALL Trumps pals, and ALL the elected republicans, have gotten this treatment.

Oh come on. Change the title. There is no question How Rudy got the treatment.

“I think if it wasn’t me, I wouldn’t have been put in a hospital,” Giuliani said. “Because sometimes when you’re a celebrity, they’re worried if something happens to you they’re gonna examine it more carefully and do everything right.”

No, Rudy, it’s not because you’re a celebrity. It’s because you’re a lawyer known for filing frivolous lawsuits.

100,000 people are in hospitals with covid today. 300,000 doses and some go to people who are outspoken against following health guidelines? And do not follow them? Should be a law against it.

Ben Carson is also known to have been given the treatment.
Stephen Miller and wife, Kayleigh, Hope Hicks, Melania, Barron, Kellyanne and on down the line, all had the virus. But all walking and talking like nothing happened.

One thing I don’t see is follow up on the health conditions of lesser WH staff who were infected by these luminaries and geniuses. How many are still in hospital, or extended leave, or disabled?

Aka “Baby Stem Cell Puree”.

This is a really interesting story because last night an RN friend told me of an old guy who had gotten the monoclonal antibody treatment at a local Alaska hospital. Because we are in the midst of a huge surge in cases Alaska warranted a limited supply of the drug? Interesting also that it is being administered for free since the guy’s only insurance was Medicare.

Ellis has it. Do you think she’s getting the same treatment? She’s probably in with the ‘rabble’.

The question of preference is particularly relevant because, notwithstanding the risks, Giuliani has been beyond reckless in exposing himself to COVID-19. Explain again why he should get preferential treatment?

And with their reckless behavior infecting others on down the line who won’t get this treatment and have died or will die. There really is no penalty too severe for Trump and his gang. I hope Biden’s DOJ throws the book at them.

I really wouldn’t care that much if Rudy would shut up about how COVID ain’t no thang and nobody needs to worry about it.

He’s killing people just like Trump is with this shit about getting over COVID in 3 days. Sure if you’re the fucking president or one of his friends. The rest of us die or have lifelong lasting effects.

Giuliani serves no position of public trust.

That could be the understatement of the century thus far. Rudy is a very treasonous, thoroughly mendacious, totally irresponsible, incorrigibly criminal half-a-whack-job.

Just found out today that a friend’s daughter that works in a hospital in Seattle got Covid from an outbreak on her floor. Thank dog, she didn’t get that sick, no fever, but quarantined for 2 weeks. This is her first nursing job and from what I know it’s not easy and she didn’t want to return, but did.

And, to be clear, it’s possible that he got it via normal allocation from the D.C. government.<<

Oh please! Does anyone really think that’s possible? I know people with higher risk who couldn’t even go to the hospital with symptoms far worse than any Rudy had. Saying this is just CYA. He absolutely got preferential treatment and he doesn’t try to hide it. Anyone reading this would have to be half dead before getting the treatment he got and by then it would be too late.

It’s a slightly different version of the Titanic story. In this case, they let the wealthy and privileged passengers turn the ship around and ram the ice berg a few more times. Then, they got on the PA and announced that the ice berg was a hoax and that life jackets were totally unnecessary and if you wore one you were a Bolshevik. Only then did they get first dibs on the lifeboats.

Bastards.

Keep him alive long enough to be prosecuted?

The privilege is bad enough, but the worshippers complete inability to see it for what it is makes me 10 times as crazy.

It sounds to me akin to Jared’s “our PPE:” like there’s almost proprietary access to medical supplies.
I’d like someone with investigative authority to look into that, and this.
