What’s to probe… it is a blatant violation of the emoluments clause…

Impeach the MFer already

Really???

That could explain why the WH is pulling back on the inopportune statement.

The justification will be that he was just joking.

I still wanna see what happens when that defense is used in a legitimate trial for the crimes of this administration.

ETA: Of course, if he never does it, there’s nothing to prosecute, but what about Barr’s party in December - that worth investigating (because the reservation is already made, so the intent is clear)???

Get all their filthy laundry out in public, Jerry!

My first thought was “this explains the second thoughts about the G7 at the Doral” and then I remembered that this WH would just stonewall the information until SCOTUS said that it was OK to ignore the Constitution. I’m back to thinking that the Secret Service and every other security agency in the G7 said “look at the map, doofus–no way can we have that meeting under the runway of an international airport. Who would build a resort there? Idiot.”

Don’t you know that certain children when they hear NO, want it even more.

Aside from the global public pitching his very own bedbug infested and emoluments clause violating biz Doral, will the House probe find undocumented workers?

Addendum:

Just read from Wapo…apparently Doral has ROACHES too among other health code violations!

Agree.
Even if it does not get very far it will make Trump fill his Depends and cause the cowardly Repubs to think. If they still have the ability to think.

But this is a Republican, so the rules are different, or something of that sort.

perhaps the first publicly known instance in which foreign governments would be required to pay President Trump’s private businesses in order to conduct business with the United States

(emphasis mine)

I really appreciate Nadler’s nuance here. There’s good reason to believe there have already been cases where Trump or his children have forced other governments to pay the Trump Org just to do business with the US gov. We just don’t know about them yet.

Not to mention the plethora of cases where Trump and his children have solicited such payments from foreigners who were glad for the chance to finally purchase access.

I just read some reviews of the place and they either rave about it or tank it. It is so hard for me to imagine anyone would stay at a place with the criminal’s name on it.

Ironically, the latest Monmouth poll of likely voters in Florida shows Trump down 54-46 to bedbugs.

Takes a magnifying glass to count them, you know.

Ok, Nadler is getting more responsive. I’m hoping to see subpeonas and lawsuits filed in the next few weeks.

Camp David

Really, end of story. It’s already secure, it’s been used before for Group of X summits, it is private and fully staffed, and it is located in a lovely slice of our nation.

Plus, we own it, no one profits off of it, world leaders would visit there, and no reported bedbugs.

And it’s not by the fucking Miami airport nor is it in fucking Florida in summer!

No, just undocumented bedbugs.

Did Obama use it?
