Same here. I was cringing every time the House managers praised Pence yesterday. No, he didnât âdo the right thingâ as some kind of hero. He did the goddamned job he was supposed to do, as a public servant on our taxpayer dime.
I mean, yes, I understand itâs a necessary tactic to show the nonpartisan nature of the prosecution. Toss a bone to the other side. But itâs still maddeningâŚ

Not to mention Democrats are trying like crazy to avoid the appearance of partisanship, and they hope to bring at least a few Republicans on board as well. Even if they donât convict, being able to say votes for conviction were bipartisan (and the more of them the better) is a goal.

This Beatification of Pence is a dumb (when Pence runs for POTUS, these words will come back to bite us), and obvious ploy. Pence did his job should be the story and the Capitol police tried to do theirs. The one who failed to do his job was Trump. End of story.
