Sad that this is even a thing that needs a hearing.

Thanks, T****.

@maximus The biggest thing that Trump has going for him is the plodding, deliberate, slow process of the Law Enforcement and Judicial institutions.

But this is not Bill Barr’s America any more…and the Dominos are going to Fall.

Poor Garland certainly has a lot on his plate. The first 4 years are going to take a toll on him because he’ll be a target of constant right-wing attacks much like Eric Holder was.

You can already see the ā€˜rats’ proclaiming that the ā€˜slurs’ they uttered had NOTHING to do with the attacks on Asians. C’mon now…rotten bastids.

The thing is that Asians-Americans would normally gravitate to a conservative, business friendly party, like the GOP used to pretend to be. But now conservatism is all about white supremacy, guns, minority bashing and Christian dominionism.

ā€œFind those who engage in hate of all forms and punish the absolute hell out of them, But don’t go around policing thought,ā€ he said.

Perhaps Rep. Roy would like to pitch his mind to mind communications device.
Otherwise, he’s just pushing a Catch - 22 that makes the prosecution of ā€˜hate crimes’ impossible.
Hate can only be identified in conjunction with action by ascertaining the perpetrator’s state of mind, something that’s currently quite impossible if we aren’t going to rely on the perpetrators communications of their probable motivation.
Then, maybe that’s his goal.

I can’t immediately recall which, but I believe it’s either Texas or Florida that holds the distinction in a report by the Innocence Project for executing the highest number of citizens for crimes they were ultimately proven not to have committed.

So that line about taking ā€˜justice seriously’ is total and complete bullshit.

I saw him more than once. He would tell the same jokes at every concert but he was a hell of a player.

I really wish one of the Democrats would jam that mask over Rep. Chip Roy’s nose

Get a spare one and jam it up his nose. Stops the droplets and shows him how you feel at the same time.

So now the killer’s court appearance has been cancelled?

Well you really would not want him to have 2 bad days in a row would you?

I think it’s Texas. Under Rick ā€œoopsā€ Perry there were a few cases of innocent people being executed. During the W. Bush era as governor he signed over 150 death warrants including Karla Fay Tuckers that he chuckled over. I think a few of them were innocent or at the very least were deprived a fair trial.

Which is one of the reasons the death penalty is fundamentally wrong.
