It seems most of what they do could be defined as nonsensical.

House GOPers Coalesce Behind Nonsensical ‘Precedent’ Argument To Avoid Voting Greene Off Committees

I thought they would go with the tried and true “it’s unconstitooshunal”, but maybe they’ve worn that one out already this week.

Michelle Fischbach (R-MN):

“I really don’t believe that this precedent is in the best interest of the body.”

She should tell that to world-renowned oncologist Mitch McConnell.

And the GOP was ready to lynch Al Franken for a tacky photo.

Greene means go.

I don’t understand why Rethuglicans are against restoration of voting rights for ex felons. Based on their support of Trump, Greene and the insurrectionists the entire party glorifies criminals.

I recall it being the left going after Franken for the tacky photo. But maybe the right was in on that too.

Its a twofer for the GOP House.

  1. They get rid of her, without getting their hands dirty

  2. They get to blame, and eventually escalate against, Dems for taking this step.

Of course, because all of them are non-entities.

“All self-righteous Republicans beware: if this can happen to Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, it can happen to any one of us,” said Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) in a lengthy statement.

I guess Andy is trying to jump the queue.

And let’s remember this, they wouldn’t be punishing MTG for statements she made before she was sworn in. They’d be punishing her for statements she continues to defend while serving in the House, no matter when they were first made.

This is not just something she did in the past. If you run a hog farm, and you always dump the hog shit in the creek, you don’t just get fined for doing it once. You get a separate fine for each day the discharge continues. It’s a new violation every day, and the fines increase with time. That’s not such a difficult concept to grasp.

So if God forbid one Greene’s target is harmed/killed then every Republican member in the House is complicit. And being complicit needs to have consequences, damnit.

Sounds like MTG needs a sponsor to get her into Alcoholics Qanonymous.

You want to talk “precedent”? Ok, let’s talk precedent - we’re not going to allow the precedent to be set where someone who calls for the murder of Congress members gets committee assignments in that Congress. Got that?
