Or maybe he’s leaving because there’s no such thing as a “DOGE dividend “?

James Fishback, the chief architect behind the proposal to send “DOGE checks,” told POLITICO Friday he’s stepping away from the movement after Elon Musk lashed out at President Donald Trump.

“One Republican member responded to an inquiry about whether they were following rules by noting that Democrats had lost the last election.”

One Republican member responded to an inquiry about whether they were following rules by noting that Republicans had executed a coup d’etat such that terms like “rules” or “laws” mean whatever Republicans say they mean.

It just doesn’t seem that the Democratic party has got its head around this.

According to Google’s AI overview DOGErs are helping the DOJ id and prosecute alleged cases of voter fraud. And there’s an on going legal dispute about if DOGE qualifies as an agency, and is subject to Freedom of Information Act requests.

So I guess your question is being researched by 3rd year law school students.

There is someone ideally positioned to take the heat for both immigration screwups and failure to achieve what Trump said he’d do to stop the Ukraine and Gaza wars. Can’t quite remember the name… Marco something…

DOJ under Trump is the platonic ideal of an efficient government agency. For every dollar that goes to DOJ, they indict 20 Democrats.

Perhaps entrusting all this power to a self-diagnosed elite isn’t the wisest thing to do?

Well DonOLD does think of the DOJ as his private law firm. Bondi et al are all in their positions at the DOJ to protect DonOLD.

Musk was the only one who could mount the DOGE shock-and-awe attack and, Musk-munchkin army in tow, successfully take a chainsaw to the federal government in illegal, irreversible ways. He was hired as a temporary employee, did his worst and left. Mission accomplished. Of course it was messy, but he did it. That he was able to do that has been worth its weight in crypto… to both Musk and Trump.
