Yes at this point, Pelosi and the Ds need to be angling to keep the Rs from re-forming and trying to get a clean slate. There is no chance that Chump and Pence can extricate themselves, so we need to be looking forward to make sure the Rs are soiled with this as long as possible and forestall any chance for Rs to break free of it. I think that’s right. But I also think that some significant percentage of that 20-25% is, in turn, just “winner”-fetishists. That is, they love Donald when he’s “winning” and owning the libs, but if it starts to look like he’s “losing,” they’ll deny they ever supported him. And some percentage of those dimwits will just stay home in the double-wide drinking Bud Lite on Election Day '20.

Not only is Barr’s investigation not on the level, it’s laughably absurd. Even if Barr delivers a report with the press and the US flag by his side, he will he derided and laughed at. If trump didn’t want to be investigated he shouldn’t have colluded with Russians. There is no right to collude with rival foreign powers free from gov’t surveillance. If you hang out with bad guys, expect to be investigated.
