Look, Russia got their “agreement” on their terms, Ukraine got its Javelins, and Trump got a big boost for his campaign. What’s not to like? Well, ok, if you’re going to be a stickler, sure, American foreign policy has been trashed, her national security and very identity threatened…but did I mention Putin is very, very pleased?
BTW, this isn’t just Trump inappropriately asking Ukraine to open an investigation. It’s actually more sinister. They’ve already investigated, he just didn’t like the results. Seems as if he’s asking for a blatantly corrupt “investigation” to implicate the Bidens.

No I don’t think so, and all Dems and news orgs could make hay with what a WASTED effort by Chump, millions of dollars, many many thousands of miles of air travel and destroyed diplomatic work…so they could smear a candidate that was not even likely to be their opponent. Well done Chump!

Thanks for this. I occasionally see an article questioning the possible outcomes from Impeachment by the house. They’re typically pearl clutching pieces worrying over what might happen.
And they’re universally annoying for me.

This was drilled into me and other junior officers by my first boss in Vietnam and I’ve done my best to live by it ever since.
I hope that Congressional Democrats hold the line and win the difficult battles in front of them.

They are supplicants and miscreants and opportunists and cowards and despicable. I would not be looking for them to be rocks of solidarity and stoicism. The RW voters, perhaps, will be monolithic and absolutely trapped in their dimwittery and desperation…but the GOP and FOX are going to squeal and cut and run however they have to.
