I understand as is noted elsewhere on this site that members of the White House staff are harder to subpoena than regular Federal employees, but once the first wave of Federal employees have testified and it looks like there is definite evidence of criminal activity involving the President, it becomes very, very hard for any White House employee to resist any subpoena, nor should they want to. Whether they have a job at the end of the testimony is another matter, but if they testify honestly or if they merely assert their privilege against self incrimination, the odds of them actually going to jail are greatly diminished.
Remember no one has any true personal loyalty to Trump so every member of the White House has to make a personal calculation based on the future they hope to have.

Every day I read some Senator, adviser or Cabinet member has just about convinced Trump of the need to assemble a staff of public relations and legal experts to project a unified, coherent response to the impeachment issues. Then he does this:
