Tyre Nichols was beaten to death by cops. In an unusual move the officers are charged with 2nd degree murder and fired. All within days.
Trump orchestrated a coup on the government of the United States and stole secret documents among other potential crimes two years ago. And he still might walk free.
There is something broken in America’s justice system. Its core is bleeding. The DoJ shows extreme deference to the rich and formerly powerful. I suppose trump could shoot someone on 5th ave and not lose a voter as he once bragged.

I’m not certain the action against the officers would have been so swift if they had been white. There would have been pleas for calm as the internal investigation took place.

Omar has been a Rep since 2019, and I thought that her controversial comments were made in 2019, why then is she being punished in 2023? Greene and Gosar were removed from committees in the year that they made controversial comments, not 4 years later.

I seriously would like to know how someone who clearly doesn’t know the meaning of such a common phrase in the English language got a degree in journalism (presumably) and got the job in the first place.
GOP were in the minority until this month.

Mostly I’m surprised they don’t have a strong enough police union there to have required various levels of investigation and appeal by policy.

Just look back to “The Clinton Chronicles.” Back in the days of VHS, wingers literally had a tape-sharing scheme around this video - watch it, then pass it on to someone else, and so on, and so on.
Much angst arose over the failure to include a rewind policy. Those who spoke up about this - including those with VCRs that could no longer rewind - were told to “Do your own rewind. We’re not gonna do the rewind for you.”
Speaking of Santos… during an interview on OANN Santos claimed “he’s learned his lesson” about lying.
I don’t believe him.
