House Dems Call McCarthy’s Bluff On Committee Seats: He’s Just ‘Catering To The Most Extreme Members’

Messaging is important.
Personally, given that Republican lawmakers swore an oath to protect the Constitution, I think we should refer to Kevin, Jim, Marjorie and the rest as "The Oath Breakers."

Qevin McCardboard, the Squeaker of the House. Thanks, I’ll be here all week; be good to your waiters and waitresses.

Well…sure. Why aren’t the ‘sane’ Republicans whining about the assignments??? They have a lot to lose letting freaks and performance artists run the committees.

Once upon a time Obama said to an interviewer, “It’s hard.” (referring to himself and the people he was working with).

What the GOP will do on these committees will be exposed for all to see.

It’s a little less flattering than cat-calls from the sidelines.

I’m pretty sure there are at least 3 GOP members that stated they won’t vote to remove Schiff, Swalwell, and Omar from their committees. If two more GOP members break rank, it’s guaranteed to fail.

Somewhat OT
trump is assuming the US military cannot fight. I think he assumes we are Russia. As one with a relative who is career Army, (Mrs darr’s younger brother) and a family full of veterans I would beg to differ with this coward who refused to serve claiming he had “bone spurs in his heels”.

I find it hard to believe trump was ever an athlete … esp. a runner and they’re the ones most likely to get a heel spur.

Why is the House Intelligence Committee not a standing committee? My understanding is that it’s a permanent select committee instead and therefore the Speaker rubber stamps the committee members.

The Schiff and Smalwell seats are at the sole prerogative of McQ, no vote required. Omar will require some GOP votes and I doubt any of them will so openly oppose McQ this early in his tenure.

You didn’t have to go there. An asshole said that, so repeating it puts you in his company. Yeah, yeah, it was sarcasm and whatever. Don’t bother.

Shorter Hakeem to Qevin:

“Get that weak-ass shit out of our zone, you white asshole.”

Denying Omar her seat on a standing committee would require 218 GOP votes. That is a larger value than “some”.

Just how much bluff are we talking about here? A bluffitesimal? Or a a full blown Class M bluffet?

They called McCarthy’s Bluff how?

I was talking about Omar retaining her seat, which will require a few GOP votes. That is a lesser value than 218.

Dems seem to be invigorated.

Kev happens to be helping this along…

but he could find a better use for his mallet playing croquet.

30+% of folks/voters get their news from Fox or TW radio. In other words, no real news or just disinformation. They probably don’t know their SS & Medicare are on the chopping block. They will know the color and HD capacity of Hunter’s computer, however.
