Originally published at: House Dems Are in Touch With Capitol Police About Trump Death Threats
Dark Day You have likely seen the news by now, but a quick recap of today’s dark events: a group of Democratic lawmakers who have served in the military or in national security posted a video on Facebook Tuesday morning calling on members of the military to “stand up” for the nation’s laws and the…
Anyone who watched the video of the Democrats and was offended is a fascist.
Mike, you’re a fascist.
Edit: cat
Draft dodger and unrepentant criminal DJT is guilty of multiple high crimes and misdemeanors. We know what needs to be done.
Has he reached rock bottom now?
No. We’re not even to act five yet, but Birnam Wood is looking ominous and dark.
Mike Johnson: “That was wildly inappropriate,” Johnson said on Thursday. “It is very dangerous. You have leading members of Congress telling troops to disobey orders.”
Karoline Leavitt: “If this were Republican members of Congress who were encouraging members of the military and members of our United States government to defy orders from the president and from the chain of command, this entire room would be up in arms.”
Er, Mr Speaker? Madam Spokeswoman? I think you left out a word.
It’s the difference between saying, “Russia has not launched a nuke at the US,” and “Russia has launched a nuke against the US.” Sometimes just one little word makes all the difference!
Johnson and Leavitt are actively trying to erase in the public mind the difference between what’s legal and what’s illegal. In that they are joining Trump in encouraging violence against Democratic members of congress.
“That was wildly inappropriate,” Johnson said on Thursday. “It is very dangerous. You have leading members of Congress telling troops to disobey orders. I think that’s unprecedented in American history … I know young soldiers, airmen, sailors — they don’t need that kind of nonsense from people in Congress.”
They were very clear that they were talking about illegal orders. Whenever a servicemember disobeys an order he can say it was illegal. If he demonstrates it was illegal or unconstitutional he goes free. If not he is convicted. It is a moral choice each service member has to make. I think all service members have been told their duty concerning illegal orders. I am not sure MAGA Mike has ever heard the distinction before. But then again wasn’t he one of those constitutional lawyers?
Is the GOP launching another attack of violent rhetoric?
Anyone not forget the GOP’s rallying cry of “Kill Mike Pence”?
Said it before.
Something will, indeed, happen. It will be ugly and will flip a page in American history in a way that hasn’t been seen since JFK.
And the First Felon will publicly and loudly claim he has no responsibility for anything that happened.
This would be unbelievable if from any other Commander in Chief in our entire history ! Threats against members of Congress are a crime, but of course tRump considers himself immune. But would making death threats meet the bar of being part of “ official duties “ ? Cats everywhere want to know !
I enlisted at age 18 simply because I had no idea what wanted to with my life and patriotism.
At age 13 I stated I would join the Air Force because I owed our Country. My belief, don’t think anyone should think this way.
Knew about a war in Vietnam but not much until I spent 3 1/2 years caring for casualties.
Don’t care much about Wars but we still need a military.
When 5 deferment Don, who stole top secrets, runs down and wants to kill Americans and Perry and McCormick, my Reps, say nothing makes me wonder who side they are on. Makes one think they are anti Constitution.
Re: Bondi warned to ‘act fast’
Ah, be careful what you wish for and who you’re talking to. Guv Greg “Hotwheels” Abbott responded to a request for the public records of his administration’s correspondence with Elon Musk & Co by promptly delivering 1,400 pages – 1,200 of which were completely blacked out.
He’s got plenty more kidney stones to pass before this ends.
Trump repeatedly posted for the veteran lawmakers to be arrested and suggesting they should be put to death.
It’s my understanding from Trump 1 that social posts from the President are to be considered official executive orders, just as if he was sticking paper on the White House bulletin board. Wouldn’t this make Trump complicit in murder?
LOCK TRUMP UP
I hope the cat’s name isn’t Mike.
Space junk, falling, connects with L’Orange one.
Conclusion=God’s will
So what I’m hoping for is that these drongos do what some idiot did in the not so recent past - edit each page in Word, adding a black line over the text they want to hide, not realizing that you could just reload the document in Word and take the overlay off, revealing the whole text.
Please, please let it be so!
The answer is clearly NO - making death threats against members of Congress is as illegal and Unconstitutional as making a death threat against the President himself. It is not an official act of his office, because it is proscribed by law.
He will not be able to use the corrupt SCOTUS 2024 immunity for official acts decision to dodge this bullet if a future Democratic AG wants to charge him with a crime. I will make a bet, however, that he will not face justice for these remarks because he will have visited St. Peter and descended into Hell long before he could be indicted.
Mark Kelly is my Senator. Mark Kelly has done more for this country than that orange shit-stain will ever be able to do to it.
Fuck tRump.
There is no bottom to tRump; other than his massive rump.
