The Hill Editor-In-Chief Bob Cusack sent out a memo to the staff Monday, alerting them that old opinion columns written by former editorialist John Solomon and referenced frequently in the impeachment inquiry may be annotated, corrected or fact-checked.
1 / THE HILL is late to learn the shameful adage that “You f•kc just one goat, and you become known as a goat-f•kcer forever.”
2 / Solomon’s reputation preceded him before he joined THE HILL. It wanted notoriety and got it…the wrong kind.
3 / Nobody will read or pay attention to any annotations or corrections. The Administration has sufficiently operated Solomon/THE HILL as useful idiots. A bus is now coming for them to get under.
Please… The Hill just now discovered John Solomon had issues? They knew this guy did not have clean hands when they hired him. He was a hot mess back when he worked for the AP over a decade ago.
This is crazy. Everyone knew his columns were BS at the time he was writing them. Many of them though were BS in the “we’ll cover minor and misleading and sketchy stories as if they were the important thread” kind of BS that is constructed to be a big lie that still survives a fact check.
Think about those people from this administration who have achieved instant pariah status. Think: Stephen Miller. Dude is so radioactive that, like Chernobyl, he will be placed in a lead sarcophagus when it’s all over.
Translation: Because of our aversion to getting caught spreading Russian disinformation, now that the damage is done we’ll go back and pretend to fix things.
