Hopefully, the media will run with this for a while. Apply the screws to Barr. Ask some meaningful questions that can’t be danced around.

Probably the biggest myth that Americans cling to is the one that says everyone is equal under the law.

Well, most white Americans, anyway.

The McCord article was a pretty good read. Too bad it won’t change anything. I hope the judge bucks Barr hard.

Barr should charge both of them with treason.

“equally appalling”

That’s partly what motivated Kravis. He felt the media had downplayed this bombshell. Especially with Trump ranting about Obamagate, the media need to roll with this for a while.

All eyes on Emmitt Sullivan

What options does Sullivan have?

It’s a recommendation, so technically he can just reject it.

On the one hand, prosecution requests to drop charges are rarely overturned by a judge.

On the other hand, prosecutors never ask to drop charges when they’ve secured a guilty plea, so we’re in relatively uncharted waters.

Well, there are precedents, and if Sullivan sticks to them he will probably have to accede to Barr’s wishes.

I hope that Sullivan at least reads the sentence that he would have given Flynn in December or whatever month that was.

Some people say Flynn was a Russian asset, but other people say he was the victim of Obama’s failed attempt to derail the Trump Express. Should keep the media entertained for a while.

There are precedents before a guilty plea is in place. He can’t force anyone to prosecute without appointing a special prosecutor. That’s not where we are here. The prosecution is done. He pled guilty. It’s out of DOJ’s hands.

Career prosecutors should resign en masse from the DOJ or be permanently tarred with assisting a criminal enterprise.

Barr’s decision to excuse himself from these obligations and attack his own silenced employees…

The President is above the law only if the Attorney General says so. That makes the Attorney General the nation’s supreme authority, even above the President.

Nothing gives Barr any right to do that.

Or he can start calling in some folks from DOJ and ask them all some questions. Ask the guy who signed the filing about who wrote it, why did it have another prosecutor’s license number, then ask the guy who quit why he quit. He can take his time, no hurry…
