Hang in there, TCN
Not really.
Right after hush-money payments, nothing screams “I am innocent” louder than, “…but the FBI should definitely not look into my background.”
His power over people is the kompromat files he has on them.
Collapsing the economy, including the food systems, is part of the plan. They want a Great Depression style event as a means of rendering us powerless as they reorder society…leaving us suffering enough that we will be compliant and willing to basically work for subsistence. Anyone who thinks they don’t want to move all manufacturing back to the country but still get to pay Chinese/Indian slave labor wages is nuts.
The Selzer Iowa poll helped me believe that white women would turn against Trump for obvious reasons. Well, that was a myth.
Gonna start happening here hehe. Stay away from windows.
Just keep in mind that Fox News is just fine with Hegseth’s behavior and outside of work activities.
There is NO vetting being done. Gaetz was announced out of the blue after being on a plane ride with trump. They are doing this on the fly…
Donald hates this military. Once it’s his military, he’ll never stop going on about it, hosting extra-cool military parades, nuking a few things, etc.
Pretense for running them out of the military so he can appoint his pantheon of Nazi generals and officers.
I see the Russian hobby of window cleaning is up and running
Don’t sell Tulsi short; it may yet come out that she has been sexually assaulting people. Or farm animals. Or furniture.
Mark this: Trump doesn’t give a f***. He does. Not. Care. While you may be right? The chance that you are underestimating Trump’s intentions is pretty good.
Remember, Trump is a lame duck on Day One. He can’t run for re-election. One side of this is, He can’t come back in 2028. But like everything else with Trump, this has haywire side effects. E.J. Dionne points out Trump’s four-year running room here:
The haywire side-effect of this is that Trump will try to blow through the 22nd Amendment. Watch for it.
Mass deportations hurting the economy? He already intends to put an end to elections. Count on it. He’s damn-near said it. He talked about his evangelical supporters “never having to vote again.” He’s talked about ignoring the 22nd Amendment (and so, the Constitution) as E.J. Dionne notes in the article above. Don’t harbor any expectation that Trump will not try to impose his will – unregulated by the impacts of the economy on any re-election chances.
Because he isn’t running for election under this Constitution, and he isn’t running for re-election outside of it. He’s going to try to be the president who wouldn’t leave again.
So what I expect is that he doesn’t care what he does to the economy. I suggest that we expand our idea of what regulates his behavior. What his motivations are.
External restraints are all that will regulate him. Those don’t include public opinion, when he’s got a cult and can keep them distracted by doing worse & worse things to people he calls their enemies, and his.
Don’t think there’s a single general officer out there who isn’t well over 20 years in, and thus retirement-eligible.
This sort of thing is most likely just intended as a harassing thing to “encourage” a bunch of them to drop retirement papers so as not to go through months or even years of investigations.
Frees up a bunch of slots for trump to fill with minimal effort.
When did it leave?
Obviously, it’s a political prosecution.
The irony, of course:

Yep, it was Donnie’s peace plan and the orders were drawn up as a result of actions that were needed as a direct result of following it.
Doesn’t matter. Mike Johnson sits at the right hand of Jesus himself. His influence is therefore infinite and his proclamations undeniable. Also, you know, he’s Trump’s guy. Beloved in both spiritual kingdoms, somehow.
I’m having a definitional problem with this. Not that he won’t try to destroy any and all decent men, because he will. Simply that decent men are not “real men” in his world. Cast your mind back to 2016 when Hillary pointed out that he has routinely engaged in tax evasion, he said it was smart. Unethical and illegal actions are fine, as long as they benefit him. His definition of a real man is a bully, that’s going to be an awkward fit in the officer corp. They are there, but it’s not behavior the military smiles upon, at least officially.
I wouldn’t assemble this bunch of cabinet picks for a liquor store holdup.
