Hegseth Railed Against ‘Insidious’ Security Measures That Kept Far-Right Extremists Out Of Armed Forces

Pete Hegseth is mad. The former weekend Fox News host and Army National Guard veteran who President-elect Donald Trump tapped to lead the Department of Defense has made blasting the states of the American educational system and armed forces a cornerstone of his brand. And one of the things that has him most worked up…

Jeez, what a complete douchebag. Please don’t give this white supremacist a job anywhere, let alone as the head of the DoD.

Total white supremecist without a doubt,

The guy is a total know nothing right wing nut. Besides his sexual proclivities, he just does not have either the knowledge or temperament to be anybody’s boss. The Pentagon will ice him out, so he can sit in a fancy office and feel important, but the real soldiers will just carry on without him.
If he tries to fire the top brass, he will cause a firestorm that he has never even imagined in his worst nightmare.

Oh yeah, like he was going to run into widespread opposition from the military.

Military cannot wait for the chance to point weapons at US civilians, whom they hold in general contempt anyway.

MAGA will do their best to break the US Military.

This full-on creep is wrapped just a little too tight. A bomb waiting to explode.

I spent 8 years in the Army…one of them in combat so I think I’ll dish out my 2 cents. The Army is the ultimate teamwork job. It’s not about points on a scoreboard or a corporate bottom line. Life and death is at stake in that gig. patriotic extrema ism ( what a shit box euphemism that is ) is the antithesis of teamwork. It’s about forcing one’s way on others. Rejecting them as having merit as they are.

That would get folks dead in a hurry if the Armed Forces allowed it.

Unfortunately the military has shown weakness when standing up to this kind of thinking. When self gormandizing punks wearing olive drab wanted to violate their oaths cuz “freedom” and refuse vaccination they were allowed to win. That is how you lose to extremism. Inch by inch. Stepping stone by stepping stone. As a nation we’ve been losing that way. The end game ins Mom’s for Liberty or extremist social media. You start by allowing just a little bullshit under the guise of free speech or parental rights. The next stepping stone is legal bullshit like the Communications Decency Act’s Section 230 or Musk’s bogus free speech shtick. Then the scales tip and Mom’s are invading the classroom and Jan 6’ers organize on Rumble.

I’ve seen nothing in Hegseth that would make me think him a good soldier. Good soldiers hate war criminals. They work together, man and woman, to achieve the mission. Their mission is not one picked up on social media but the ones given them by command. The two make a polluted mess if mixed.

The US Army has done well for near 300 years by rejecting Hegseth’s thinking. That’s why they they sidelined him.

I guess Hegseth doesn’t care for the renewed ad campaign of “Be All That You Can Be In the Army”. I will also assume that Hegseth doesn’t want the draft back.
I’m really struggling with this concept that there are people, Americans, that don’t want a diverse nation. It seems that they think that the first white settlers came to an empty land. They forged a new nation for virgin soil. I guess they weren’t taught that Christopher Columbus, an Italian sailing under the King of Spain’s flag, bumped into new land/islands off the shore of N. America. And it wasn’t black people who sailed from Africa looking for new lands or to start a new colony/country.
I swear I’m this close > < to yelling “America, love it or leave it”.

The more we learn, the more we realize that Hegseth is every bit as bad as Gaetz, if not worse. Equally loyal to Trump, but with the Christian nationalism, racism and misogyny fully on display, whereas Gaetz is only a stupid, creepy pedophile.

“Only the best.”

It’s really valuable to hear from someone with military experience–thank you for your comment.

Hegseth wrote. “Only one problem: there just aren’t enough trannies from Brooklyn or lesbians from San Francisco who want to join the 82nd Airborne. Not only do the trannies and lesbians not join, but those very same ads turn off the young, patriotic, Christian men who have traditionally filled our ranks.

Wow. Now we are getting to substantive issues of Hegseth lack of leadership vs the Monterey incident. This is where media should have been focused from the jump.

Domestic terrorism is no joke & this guy is part of the “militia-style ideology “ that has no place in military.
I keep noticing how he is deceptive about his grievance about the tattoo as well. Hegseth repeatedly says it’s about the “Christian tattoo” on his chest. Whereas, the complaint about him being insider threat was about the tattoo on his bicep. Which is associated with “patriot extremist” groups.

If the Senate confirms this guy America citizens are in serious danger from domestic terrorists.

MAGA is the enemy within

So, extremist right-winger with a massive chip on his shoulder about the Army fighting against right-wing extremists get to run the Army and weed out non-Christians from the top down. Cool.
I’d like his confirmation hearings to follow the following question to its ultimate conclusion: which document is the highest authority: the Constitution or the Bible?

If you want to sound sophisticated, take any word and add “ism” to the end of it. In Hegseth’s case, there’s no need to associate any -ism with an ideology. If anyone asks, just make up lies.

I am expert on fatism, teenism, wrestlingism, loserism, rigism, Russiaism, and more!

They do not want to break it. They want to remake it in their image.
To be able to kill protesters and not be held responsible is their aim.

“There’s new concepts like ‘patriot extremism,’ which is a part of how they review the profile of people serving. So, there are real insidious aspects of what’s happening inside the Pentagon.”

Not exactly a new concept. New words for a new type of threat maybe, but pretty much the same concepts that have existed in the military since the beginning.

This is a guy who lives in his extremist world who thought he pulled a fast one by serving. But got found out. Incredibly because he chose to graphically mark his skin with specific symbols that tied him directly to that extremist world. Now he is bitter? Wants to redefine his extremism? He is just average schmoe being a patriot? Not the sharpest picket in the fence.

So in summary. Basically what you said.

The 17-page briefing that drew Hegseth’s ire described the “anarchist” movement as including left-wing groups like “antifa” and “Occupy.”

In all these years now, I have yet to see anything that substantiates the existence of Antifa as an organized movement or specific entity. Not one iota?
