The pandemic trumps Trump. Even if she thought it was legitimate to hold up ascertainment, it’s clear to everyone else that Trump’s court flailings have no chance of succeeding. Do the right thing, Murphy.
Biden needs to fire her by tweet (that’s what Trump does after all) and appoint a new person who will do the job.

Something tells me this gentlewoman from the GSA will never find reputably decent work anywhere in America again. Kinda like Lurita Doan - her G.W. Bush appointee predecessor of ugly memory - who ended up as a talk radio shill in Backwater, Arkansas somewheres. It’s a good thing.

We’re past the point that she really has an excuse not to do this, the recounts are not bringing out any issues with the votes, the canvassing isn’t either, and there is just no reasonable way to think the vote result gets undone. Unreasonable lawsuits, which are failing, are not a reason to avoid giving Biden transition support…those lawsuits are not going to undo the election result.
By the end of the month basically every state will have certified its election results; at that point the election is done and the vote totals won’t be changed. By Dec 14th the elector’s votes will be in and confirm the election results. On Jan 6th the electoral votes are confirmed by Congress. None of these events are going to change what the election results show, that Biden is the legally elected president.
If we go much further down the current road, with Trump now openly trying to influence the vote counting process and Republicans suing electors to undo the results in Nevada, then we’re looking at a real attempt at a coup. It’s nonsense, there’s no real doubt of the result, but every day we continue to see this is another day that harms our democracy.
And, Republicans are just going along…imagine if Hillary or Obama called people involved in the election processing in 2016, they would have totally lost it. That’s the real danger here, Republicans are going to be just fine with it if Trump manages to overturn the election and steal the presidency…just more proof that they care only about power and nothing about the Constitution or the nation.
I’ve been saying that there is just no way that Republicans can legally overturn the election, that it would require illegal activity and be a coup. I figured there wasn’t a chance they would go down that route with the clear election result…we’re about to find out if that’s actually correct, because the accelerating move towards questionable (and possibly illegal) interference in the vote counting process makes it clear they are seriously contemplating undoing the election.
Except that Trump doesn’t give.a shit. He doesn’t give a shit about how many people get infected. He doesn’t give a shit about how many people are hospitalized. He doesn’t give a shit about how many people die. He doesn’t give a shit about how many people loose their jobs and get evicted. He doesn’t give a shit about how many people are in the food lines. He doesn’t give a shit about Joe Biden. He doesn’t give a shit about experts. It’s all not his fault. None of it. He takes no responsibility. He won the election. He’ll lie to us about anything and everything.
That’s what we are up against.
I think most, if not all, posters here are beyond sick and tired of all the obstruction at all levels during the entire duration of the Trumplethinskin maladministration. We have bodies piling up. And still, Emily Murphy has yet to allow transition to begin. There is no valid excuse for this. Not one. Joe Biden shall be the next POTUS.
How many more Americans will the GOP murder?

Why is it that no one has gone to the DC Federal Court to seek a writ of mandamus to force GSA Chief Murphy to "ascertain Joe Biden as President-elect immediately under the Presidential Transition Act,”
Seems to me that the law is pretty clear on this matter.
