Trump finally got around to appealing to SCOTUS on his EO revoking birthright citizenship, which has been blocked by the lower courts. I wonder why he waited this long. Maybe worried about the midterms?
The polling I’ve seen shows a slim majority opposing it, with higher numbers for Latinos who are already not happy with the immigration crackdown. Anyway, a decision would probably be next June or July, which is good timing for Dems to make it an issue in the midterms. Free gifted link:

The bureau last spring had reassigned the agents but has since fired them, said the people, who insisted on anonymity to discuss personnel matters with The Associated Press.
The number of FBI employees terminated was not immediately clear, but two people said it was roughly 20.
The photographs at issue showed a group of agents taking the knee during one of the demonstrations following the May 2020 killing of Floyd, a death that led to a national reckoning over policing and racial injustice and sparked widespread anger after millions of people saw video of the arrest. The kneeling had angered some in the FBI but was also understood as a possible de-escalation tactic during a period of protests.
The FBI Agents Association confirmed in a statement late Friday that more than a dozen agents had been fired, including military veterans with additional statutory protections, and condemned the move as unlawful. It called on Congress to investigate and said the firings were another indication of FBI Director Kash Patel’s disregard for the legal rights of bureau employees.

My grandparent’s solution for cosmetic weeding of driveway. sidewalk and patio, plain old salt. Sodium chloride. Available in 40 lb. sacks at the feed mill. Laid down right on the weeds is kills the leaves and roots before being washed away by rain.
Obviously not a solution for large scale agriculture.
Also, lawn and garden care on a working farm was just to cut the goddamn grass as quickly and efficiently as possible and don’t worry about the dandelions (which I love to see in the spring), plantains, clover and any other stuff growing amongst the grass.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - TSF’s maladministration, the GOP/NAZI sycophant caucuses, the corrupt six and the billionaire owned media - could not ride without the cowardice, greed, venality and long term stupidity exhibited by previously (mostly politically quiet) businesses, law firms. educational institutions, … and now FFS … A List comedians supinely tending their stables, horses, weapons and gear.
Well, we still have Heather and Paul today (no column from Tim, but he’s made several TV appearances the past few days).
Remember, the Battles of NY, the Brandywine and privations of Valley Forge occurred 4/5 years before Yorktown. We can hang on and build our strength the old fashioned, grass roots way.
