What’s up with Boebert? Haven’t seen anything about her in months.

She’ll probably be arrested by ICE - I’m completely serious. Just hold her up with lawsuits for the next year.

I often say that conservatives want to repeal the various Civil Rights Act but it’s probably more accurate to say they want to overturn the Reconstruction amendments.

Not only is the SCOTUS giving away the power of Congress to a corrupt President, but their own as well. The F-five (fill in F with your own favorite word beginning with F) don’t seem to recognize this. Perhaps they hope to be as infamous as the Taney court.

I don’t understand what replaces birthright citizenship? How does a country function with stateless citizens. How does one attain citizenship, would you inherit citizenship from a parent?

Marco Rubio, big fat liar for the benefit of the Trump Regime to Aid Mean-Spirited Billionaires at the Cost of Innocent Lives At Home and Around the Globe.

From the NYT: By Nicholas Kristof

Opinion Columnist

'Secretary of State Marco Rubio this week flatly asserted: “No one has died because the United States has cut aid.” But what I found on a recent trip through refugee settlements in Uganda is that children are dying daily because of American aid cuts. Moreover, that death toll is only accelerating.

'As best I can tell from my reporting in the field — including earlier visits this year to South Sudan, Kenya, Liberia and Sierra Leone — it is women and girls who disproportionately bear the burden when the aid system collapses. That’s partly because when resources are scarce, families prioritize sons over daughters. After cuts in education spending, parents pulled their daughters out of school, while sometimes scrimping to keep boys in class.

'The Trump administration also seems to have particular animus toward spending on reproductive health, driven by its opposition to abortion. But what you see in these villages is women less able to obtain contraception, increasingly at risk of dying in childbirth and less able to get treatment for cervical cancer.

‘I met a teenage girl, Alice Mugisha, who had just been married against her will. “I cried when my dad told me to get married,” Alice told me. “But when the food aid got cut off, he said I had to marry” — because the family would receive a bride price of $140. I went to ask her father about this, and he confirmed it; then he mentioned that the end of assistance might also force him to marry off Alice’s younger sister, Muhawe, who is either 12 or 13.’

The stability of a government job has evaporated

Republican governance favors crooks and cons, not knowledge and experience.

the comedians were given staggering six and seven figure sums to crack jokes in Riyadh

Money is not speech. It is access.

The new gerrymandered map will now split Kansas City into three GOP-favoring congressional districts.

Because Communism is a perfect fit for Missouri.

“Integrity”? Not necessarily. Other, possibly more effective, Republican appeals would be to greed and fear. Also greed. Don’t forget greed.

I can’t see it either. This is a Hail Mary move, just throwing it out there because Trump promised to do it in the campaign and it fits in neatly with Stephen Miller’s rabid anti-immigration agenda. They’re hoping the SCOTUS will find some creative bullshit reason to overturn what’s clearly outlined in the 14th. I don’t believe the court majority is that corrupt, but we’ll see.

“Washed away”, eh? And just where might “away” be? Not as far as you think. Perhaps you recall when King Odysseus tried to avoid the draft by sowing his fields with salt, giving solid proof he’d gone crazy? (Spoiler: it didn’t work.)

Try horticultural vinegar. It’s “biodegradeable” and quite deadly.
