The difference, I think, is that Hawley thinks he’s getting one over on the rubes, whereas Trump is just feeding them the slop that they already want to consume. Hawley is trying to be a pig farmer while Trump is just rolling around in the muck with the swine.

Clearly, the Grover Norquist faction has issued a bulletin demanding that all the RWNJs use “woke” and “cancel culture” loudly and often as codewords that together signify something along the lines of “smart people who mostly aren’t white enough and whatever they complain about.”

Since 1/6/2021 I’ve been calling my Rep. Burchett. The phone is answered by what sounds to be a naive young woman. Ie. I asked her to ask him if Mexico ever paid for the wall and if he could get me on Trump’s healthcare plan. She’s very sweet but of course I have not heard from him. But I keep calling. We’re on a first name basis. Lol

My definition of “woke” is “why are all these young white folks concerned about anyone who isn’t white, male and Christian”.
Hawley was born too late to be one of the Masters of the Universe, upholding white male Christian dominance as his fore white male Christians have done for centuries before him.
