Harris Pushes To Make Strong Closing Vibes A Reality In Last Day Of Campaign

Originally published at: Harris Pushes To Make Strong Closing Vibes A Reality In Last Day Of Campaign

The last week or the two of the campaigns couldn’t have gone much better for the Harris side: While the VP played huge rallies studded with A-list talent and made a surprise appearance on SNL, the Trump team stepped on rake after rake. From the Puerto Rico garbage comment (and accidental prolonging of the news…

She’s going to win. GOTFV and run up the score. Let’s stomp them all the way up and down-ticket.

Yes, she’s going to win. And the women are going to save us from another four years of Adolph Cheeto-lini. It’s not just about vibes. Maybe it took #metoo, or realizing that we do have power. But women are going to be the story when this election is all said and done. We are mad as hell and we are not going to take it any more.

The feeling of confidence is strange after the last 8 years. I won’t be content or relaxed until 270 is reached. After that - tears of joy and laughter. Then incessant withering takedowns of online MAGAts.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump will spend the day in North Carolina, holding several rallies. The former president will start the morning at Raleigh. In the afternoon he will hit Reading, PA, and in the early evening he will be in Pittsburgh. He’ll finish his day and close out the 2024 campaign with a final rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

What kind of uppers will he need to still be standing at his rally in Grand Rapids? Will he be able to string two coherent words together? Going from Raleigh, NC up through multiple stops in PA and finishing in Grand Rapids, MI in a single day would be a slog for someone in their prime and Trump is far from that.

They will kick and scream (maybe worse) tomorrow but we’re doing this whether they like it or not!

Earlier today, Threads was full of clips of TFG rambling and spouting gibberish. It would be interesting to get a blood sample to see what they have had to dose him with in order to get him on stage at all. By the end of the day he might not even be able to clutch the podium and sway.

Right as rain.
“Out of approximately 62 million early ballots cast so far, at least 54 percent have been cast by women, while only 44 percent have been cast by men, according to NBC News.”

Well, all candidates get SO punchy on the last day.
Hangar stops are the worse imo.

I had not thought of MEDICAL ‘aid’ but then I remember he has not discussed DRUGS as a NONO just alcohol.

I just took a calmative (it’s snowing a foot at least here, I can’t leave the house so don’t worry about cuckoo me out on the roads, ok?) and will try to nap. It’s going to be a LONG 48hrs.

I’ve gotta shop for snacks for tomorrow’s tv viewing on MSNBC. I thought I’d go to bed and avoid it, but I know that I can’t. We just HAVE to win!

I just noticed something interesting. Or curious. Depending on your personal level of paranoia.

Musk bought Twitter in October 2022, for a staggering $44B of borrowed and personal funds, derided as a biliionaire’s vanity project.

Trump declared his candidacy on November 16 2022

Two days later Musk reinstated Trump on Twitter

Anyone want to speculate why Musk bought Twitter NOW?

Remember, the rich don’t spend or give away money. They invest. Everything they do comes with an expectation of a return. My money says when Fat Hitler loses, Musk sells Twitter or X or whatever the fuck it’s called now.

Empty seats aside (yay cameraman!) thats still a depressingly large number of people who repeatedly watch him and go, ‘I WANT THAT!’.

Yes, this is a problem that we have to grapple with instead of believing it will go away on its own because “the fever broke.” Reminds me of a quote (whose source I cannot remember) that either Sherman or one of his adjutants gave describing the Southern populace they were encountering as “defeated and sullen.”

It will be interesting to see the comparison of the various events today. Trump was very low energy and angry over the weekend, the Selzer poll really seemed to shake him up. I suspect today will be an ugly day of ranting from him, presuming he manages to get through it…the Michigan speech is going to be interesting to see. Harris will have a huge, happy rally in Philly to top her campaign off. It is going to stick in the mind of some voters how the campaign finish today, and might influence the few who haven’t made up their minds yet.

Tomorrow is going to be a huge day, where America decides if it’s going to go into the future or back into the past, if it’s going to value freedom or turn into a Christian theocracy. Trump’s policies are going to damage the economy, kill women, and allow our enemies free rein around the world. I hope that voters understand this and vote accordingly, if they vote for Trump they are voting against the best interests of our children and grandchildren, and of the world as well. Harris isn’t perfect, but no one is, and she’s a damn sight better than what the Republicans are selling.

I’m hopeful that she will win, the reports of women voting strongly for her are encouraging, but I won’t relax until enough states are called to put her over the top. I hope that happens early in the evening, the earlier and clearer the result, the less likely it is that any attempts to overturn the election have support.
