I know a lot of dems weren’t very happy about Kamala embracing the Liz Cheney endorsement but I thought it was a good move at the time. And I think the wisdom of actually using her on the campaign trail has been demonstrated ever since.

Cheney’s endorsement is not the primary motivator for repubs making the switch to voting D at the top of the ticket, but it helps.

Of ballots cast by your numbers 54% by women, 44% by men,

So who, make that what, cast the remaining 2%?

I just want to say that if Sheriff Dar Leaf tries to keep Barry County, MI from having its votes included in the final state tally, he will have my unreserved support.

So, what’s on your laundry list for the Harris Administration and Speaker Jeffries to tackle?

  1. rectifying Roe v Wade via new law
  2. rectifying the supremely shitty SCOTUS decision allowing presidents to be law breakers
  3. rectifying the lack of Congressional oversight of SCOTUS
  4. rectifying @castor_troy 's lack of a Cabinet position?

So many possibilities!

Need to ask NBC, I guess.

That what the Iowa poll is saying and why it is so important.

White women, 53% of whom who voted in 2020 voted for Donald Trump, will determine this election. Running against Joe Biden, Trump needed to do better than 53%. Running against Kamala Harris, Trump may only need 50% of the White women vote.

Which brings us back to Iowa. As an old White man with 3 older sisters, I remember, and they certainly remember, before Roe. All 3 had classmates harmed by back ally abortions.

Now I grew up in a big city. No doubt mine and my sisters’ experiences are different then most people who live in Iowa where there are no truly big cities.

The magic to Donald Trump is that he sells people what they want to buy. Noting that women are just as racist, xenophobic and religious bigoted as men, if those old rural White women had the same experiences as old women who grew up in big cities, indeed old White women may yet save America.

Holding rallies with hardly any people there. May this be how it ends. Not with a bang, but with a sad, impotent whimper.

To that FOX news anchor and any one else who thinks like him when he said that “my wife voting for Kamala Harris would be the same as cheating on me with another man”,

Could someone please tell them for me that I just did your wife.

If the predictions about the Senate prove correct, none of these things will happen. Nonetheless, I will be overjoyed if the pollsters are found to have been full of shit. We shall see…

When you’re in the majority, they let you do it.

Josh Marshall discussed some interesting issues about conventional analysis of some voting data so far, which would have Donald Trump ahead in North Carolina. Professor Michael McDonald has noted that that data analysis reveals an unusual number of women voting this cycle in North Carolina.

I will not pretend to know how they voted, many of those are Republicans, and what happens in the booth stays in the booth.

But we should ask, why are women voting in such large numbers? And this follows on the heals of the Marist poll that has Harris in the lead in Iowa. My fingers are crossed that this means what I want to think it means.

More like a screaming, throwing things, full toddler tantrum meltdown, would be my guess. And there’s always that tantalizing chance of an ischemic event, live on camera. He ain’t well, and the pressure just keeps building.
