Originally published at: Harris’ Nomination Looks Like ‘A Foregone Conclusion’
What if the Democrats held an “open” convention and nobody came? That certainly looks like the spectacle we are about to see as Vice President Kamala Harris continues to accumulate endorsements from prominent elected officials and delegates to the Democratic National Convention. One well-placed Democratic source who has been involved in the process put it…
AOC shamed any wayward Dems from even thinking of passing Harris over and low key endorsed her from the left.
Sort of pushed it front and center at an uncannily perfect time
I for one have been in a calm state these last three weeks, having prophesized that Biden would bow out and the party would quickly unite around Harris. I took that time as a necessary break from political media consumption.
“It looks like its a foregone conclusion,” the source, who requested anonymity to discuss internal deliberations, said of Harris’ nomination.
I’ve got news for everybody: Harris’s victory in November is a foregone conclusion, too.
Nobody wants the shit-stew of womb-surveillance and monarchy that Organized Money has filled the GOP platform with, and nobody needs 105 more days to figure that out.
Everybody and their dog is standing by to pull the lever for Harris, and democracy, and reproductive freedom. Count on it.
Indeed‼️
A blind person could figure out in a micro-second the reason why there will be no floor fight for the candidate to replace President Biden: It would help former President Donald J. Trump retake the Oval Office.
Congratulations Don the convicted, you felonious POS. You achieved your goal to be a uniter, not a divider…
Just not in the way you hoped
I suspect that, ahead of Biden’s withdrawal and endorsement of KamalaHarris, the Democratic leadership put together a timetable for everyone such that the endorsements didn’t hit all at once.
This keeps her candidacy in the headlines for an extended time, makes it look inevitable, AND drowns out GOP sputtering.
Smart.
Harris inspires hope and unity, Trump sows hatred and division.
Wait! What? I have been reliably informed that the Democratic Party is in full disarray. How is it possible that the Harris campaign took in a reported $100,000,000.00 in less than 2 days while in complete disarray?
Something is not adding up!
I sure hope you’re right.
Unfortunately, the MSM have to engineer a tight race to sell ad space, so expect endless articles and editorials poking at Harris’s fitness, background and agenda, and not a peep about the increasingly overt Christofascist leanings of the Republican Party, let alone the clearly decompensating mental state of their candidate for POTUS. Gotta keep the horse race narrative alive, even if it opens up a real chance that a free press is outlawed and the roundups start on the first day of the Trump regime in January.
Still, I sure hope you’re right.
$100,000,000.00? Something is definitely adding up! ![]()
I’m almost certain something is rigged. (Maybe?)
I hope whichever megadonors, celebrity types, and schemers who were confident they could shove both Joe and Kamala aside and replace them with the ticket of their choosing have properly felt the kick in the privates that the past 24 hours has been for them.
Like @castor_troy, I’m delighted to see the Democratic party and small-donors flip the bird to the coup plotters, and per AOC what they envisioned was exactly that, a rush to shove Joe/Kamala aside with no real plan other than throwing their own weight around.
I think it should “crushed in a vise”.
Me too. I’m just waiting for White Jesus and the God Emperor to tell me what it is so I can be outraged by it
Oh, they had plans and names. The massive role of California in this definitely has me side-eyeing Newsom.
I’m willing to wait for the full write-up (and we will see it) from the J6 Coup (July, not the January one), getting the names, and let’s primary the fuck out of all of them.
as speculation President Joe Biden would drop ever pitch
I am not being snarky in asking what that means. Is that slang I haven’t encountered yet, or a mistake I haven’t figured out yet?
AOC will probably be a senator in rather short order and maybe even have a Cabinet level position in her future. Great political instincts and a great communicator.
By the way. After studying the various reports about the attempted assassination of Trump, it’s hard to escape the conclusion that Hillary just didn’t pull that one off. It must be hard on her own without Queen Elizabeth.
Nonsense, and insulting, really.
She don’t miss. Ask Vince. Oh, you can’t.
