Hannity Claims Cheney Wasn’t ‘Canceled’ For Repudiating Trump’s Big Lie | Talking Points Memo

Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday carried the mantle of a nascent GOP narrative that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) was not ousted from her leadership position because of her repudiation of former President Donald Trump’s election lies — she was not “canceled”– he contended.

Sean is paid to say this crap. She was fired, cancelled, shit canned; whatever. He is just a minor predictable sycophant. The reaction will be with the big players who took on the Cheney dynasty when they operate at the level of Duck dynasty.

My humble prediction: There will be blood.

ONE MORE TIME Seanie leaps into the breach to embellish the BIG LIE. Yes, she was ‘cancelled’. Yes, your party threw her out because she wouldn’t LIE for Trump. Hannity who has NO principles, values or morals doesn’t CARE if the party lies or not so her argument about moving the party back to where it was holds no water. He is competing with the Tucker so out comes the garbage.

The GOP has been in an absolute quandary ever since they realized they can’t get whatever they want by yelling “SOCIALISM!!!” or “9/11! 9/11! 9/11!” anymore.

Of course he did. We’ve already seen this argument from McCarthy. By noon today every GOPer will be spouting this argument, using exactly the same words. I’m sure they sent the talking points out yesterday as soon as the meeting was over.

“You were removed from leadership because you put your selfish agenda ahead of the party’s agenda…"

What agenda? The Republicans didn’t even have a party platform for the 2020 convention and election.

Only people caught being racists get “canceled.” It’s definitional.

(Narrator"s voice) Huh?

“No cancel! No cancel! You’re the cancel!”

By ‘agenda’ he actually meant the GOP’s ‘goal’: to retake the House (and perhaps also the Senate). The term “selfish” is also interesting. What could Liz Cheney possibly gain by attacking Mr. Trump?
