Wow: this opinion piece could used as the definition of ‘disingenuous’: ‘DJT is now just a ‘has-been retiree’. Nothing to see here and time to move on.’
Revisionism began as soon as the vote was announced.
They didn’t even stop to take a breath.
I date it back to Lee’s surrender at Appomattox.
And in more relevant news…
“I don’t think anyone is questioning the legitimacy of the presidential election…"
Somebody needs to tell that to Trump.
When your ideology is radical libertarianism and anarchy the lack of a platform is a perfect depiction of the agenda.
Almost two-thirds of Republicans believe that President Joe Biden did not legitimately win the 2020 election.
GOP leadership, in tune with its voters.
Sean, Sean, Sean…
When you’re explaining…you’re losing…
Even Tucker knows that.
“I don’t think anyone is questioning the legitimacy of the presidential election. I think that is all over with,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said after the ouster on Wednesday, rebuffing any suggestion of the link between Cheney’s dismissed truth-telling and the GOP’s advance of Trump’s false claims.
Oh noes this is going to mean Qevin has to get another audience with the King, well at least he only has to go NJ, instead of FL this time.
Sure they did: “Donald Trump’s Thoughts and Opinions are our platform.”
I’m paraphrasing…
The attempt by Liz Cheney to exhibit a little leadership within this current bunch of morons who call themselves Republicans is proof that there is no leadership or sanity allowed in this alternate universe.
The subtext here is weakness . . . they cannot tolerate any dissent, and that’s one of the biggest tells there is. When your own people are asking embarrassing questions you refuse to answer and as a result you purge them, you have nothing to stand on, and people see that. This is something that is seriously going to come around and bite them.
The factions, such as they are, are the Party and the Cult. The Cult has taken over the state and national structures. The ‘Party’ faction (those willing to accept law & order) is at best maybe 10% of the organization as it is now constituted and have been largely purged from any positions of influence (canceled). There’s probably another 30% are just along for the ride and will bail when the going gets rough, but that other 60% is pure, unadulterated Cult base. And they’re purging almost the last of the hated RINOs . . . . YOU’RE next, Mitt!
Republiqan membership is down to historic lows (under 40% of RVs), and 60% of a generous 40% doesn’t win elections. Especially when their Dear Leader isn’t on the ballot, though one of his cultists is. And you know, it’s become just so difficult to vote now . . . I’m actually expecting a very low GQP turnout for the midterms as more and more of his base sours and erodes over time.
We’re still a year out from the party nominations, and just under 18 months from the elections. That’s LOTS of time for the ever increasing number of insurrectionists seen on the nightly news being sent off to prison, for the revelations in hearings and investigations, the prosecutions of various T* officials if not T* himself. All while their Dear Leader seeks to dominate the news cycles and the Cult demands raw, red meat. And all while the cult purges anyone daring to point out reality.
The Cult needs to remember that canceling works both ways. If you cancel enough of your own people, you wind up canceling yourself.
But wasn’t it delish to watch day by day as his numbers went from almost sufficient to insufficient, to GTFOH levels? All that time to count, and recount, and it didn’t get any better. ![]()
Speaking of not “being cancelled”:
In case you don’t want to bring your breakfast back up by reading it, John " convicted of lying to Congress and obstructing the congressional investigation of the Iran-Contra affair" Poindexter & Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin of The Family Research Council were among the signers.
Well, that was about as off base as they come. She was trying to knock some sense into her party.
I think that is called leadership.
Torn between seeing a debate between AOC and MTG, and watching how desperate MTG is getting to grab attention.
And AZ
Sean is so full of crap it’s coming out his ears.
That farce in Arizona has just devolved into the three ring circus that it was always destined to be. It is to laugh.
