Right now the plant has a limited amount of diesel fuel as a back up. The Russians are fucking idiots. The plant is not making any power at all but the reactors still need to be kept cool. And we know Putin is directing things on the battlefield himself and not leaving it to the professional army people…

There’s an unspoken part of everything that’s presented on right-wing media about any of their enemies, be it Hunter Biden, Tony Fauci or George Soros: “Be outraged. Be outraged, even if there’s no rational reason.” Last week, Fox, et. al. were all about that the Fauci family’s net worth went up by $5 million in the past 3 years. Never mind that the Faucis are accomplished medical professionals who’ve worked for a half century. That it’s no crime to save and invest. That the economy has been expanding until very recently and anyone with a half-decent stock portfolio did well. Be outraged that the Faucis are wealthy and got wealthier. This week’s thing to be outraged over is Biden’s voicemail.

Exactly. Honest, fair criticism focuses on one thing. But demonizing requires that everything the target does be extremely bad. And every revelation of something that was meant to be private has to be a damaging scandal somehow because it just is. For years now there’s been no particular need to articulate a plausible reason for your scathing denunciations.

Same tired playbook. Take a fact, no matter how innocent, distort it, and let the rubes on social media disseminate it, with increasingly conspiratorial explanations. Just look at what Trump has been saying about past presidents and WH records, where something like the renting of a warehouse next to a Chinese restaurant for temporarily storing records under guard by federal personnel suddenly becomes far worse than theft of top secret documents and keeping them in a social club.
This has probably already morphed into some nonsense about Joe and Hunter sharing a crack pipe.

A man who has two adult children himself can’t fathom a man telling his son he loves him and says he knows his son needs help but he doesn’t know what to do, but offers “anything you need”. Every father I associate with, including all of them in my own family, would do the same. This is what sets us apart from people like Hannity, who evidently perceives being a caring and supportive father a sign of weakness or failed character.
I have to believe that there are even a lot of right-wing zealouts who have worried about their kids and can relate to the pain in Joe Biden’s voice as he reached out to his son. I hope Sean Patrick Hannity and Merri Kelly Hannity have a mother or other person who would step up for them if they ever need guidance and help with anything in their lives, because it looks like Dad would offer only rejection and criticism.

They’re just so far up their own ass they don’t see right from wrong, good from bad, day from night. Just lost in their own spite and hatred, and it has not only clouded, but obliterated their judgment. That’s the only reason I can think of why Hannity would air this voicemail.
