School bus drivers in CT might walk when mandates begin on Monday. So, we’ll see, when the rubber hits the road, so to speak:

That’s it, in a nutshell. They’re so accustomed to having their fee-fees coddled that they can’t even imagine anybody following up about whether they’re following through.

At my job in a rural county, most of us are vaccinated, but there are still a few who loudly proclaim on social media that they will never submit to getting jabbed by Biden’s authoritarian state.

There is no mandate to get vaccinated at the company, but this past week it was announced that the company will not pay the wages for anyone who is unvaccinated and needs to take time off because they either contracted COVID or they need to quarantine. Everyone who is fully vaccinated will continue to be paid (outside of regular PTO hours) no matter how long they need to quarantine due to COVID.

I don’t know for sure, but I suspect that most of the holdouts will quietly get jabbed.

Bet they won’t. Like cops. The question is whether mayors and governors can break the power of cop unions. I say this as lifelong IWW: COP UNIONS ARE EXTORTIONATE ENTERPRISES. Bust 'em up.

As it becomes “safer” for employers to issue these mandates, especially those providing insurance, there will be fewer places for these idiots to find jobs. In my opinion, this is an easy way to cull workers with attitude problems.

Anti-vaxxers aren’t the sharpest needles in the drawer.

Which is silly, because the COVID vaccine most certainly is.

I really did not feel it either time…and I’m one of those big wussies every fall when I get my flu shot.

While waiting to get my flu shot, I observed a woman, maybe in her early twenties, standing next to me, visibly shaking. At one point, she looked like she was going to faint. She asked if I was waiting for my Covid shot, and I explained I was there for the flu shot. She then said she was there for her first Covid shot, and was absolutely terrified. Not sure if it from the needle or the vaccine, but I felt really bad for her, and kept telling her that the process was virtually painless.

This is part of the “I’m exceptional” syndrome. Many of these folks think that the threat of quitting will change policy because “how can they possibly get along around here without me?”

What they don’t get (and didn’t get when they voted not to become unionized at their place of work) is that there is no single person at most jobs that isn’t fully replaceable. If they want to stop vaccine mandates in the workplace, they need a UNION representing the majority. Lucky for us, unions (like vaccine mandates) are the spawn of socialism.

Per the image with this article… I hope that lady holding the sign that says “Let me call my own shots” has health insurance and has written her will.
No vax = vastly increased chance of illness and death from covid.
Vax = vastly lessened chance of illness and almost zero chance of death from covid.
For me it was no choice. I got vaccinated as soon as I could. And I look forward to a third shot as well.
I expect that lady does not know she is risking the health of those around her by not getting the shot. Maybe she does and just doesn’t give a shit.

I would be surprised if there isn’t a lot of that going on. After loudly proclaiming to everyone within earshot that they won’t get the vaccine under any circumstances, it’s gotta be more than a little embarrassing to admit you got it out of fear of losing (possible) paid leave.

My wife and I are both retired nurses and got every vaccination known to man when we were working in hospitals. It was a condition of employment. We acquiesced willingly and were grateful for the protection. I never personally knew anyone who objected strenuously to this process. To work in healthcare and refuse to take steps that will help protect the people you are supposed to be caring for is a cognitive failure that I will never comprehend. It goes against everything that is part of being a healthCARE worker.

Let them walk. It’s better than them endangering the kids they are supposed to transport, many of whom cannot receive the vaccines.

Here’s a great opportunity to get those Afghan and Haitian refugees settled in. Vaccinate them and offer them the opportunity to be trained in and work these jobs that these people are threatening to walk away from because they aren’t being allowed to spread a deadly disease to people at their workplace.

Yeah, that’s why the job mandate is important.

It gives them an excuse to get the jab, because you need the money, and loudly proclaim yourself as a victim, who was forced to get the jab. You may even be able to get onto Fox News for a bit.

Everyone who identifies as “right wing” is a fraud, their entire philosophy is bullshit, and everything they say is garbage.
