This is a blatant “PARDON ME” plea from Niki Haley, who has seen her political star implode after working for Cheatolini.
He is all she has left, so she is going all-in on sucking up to the Audience of One.
Maybe that is when she learned that it was dangerous.

I haven’t paid a lot of attention to her, but its obvious she’s a true believer and like the rest of them she’s chosen Donald and party over country. We can call these hardcore Trumpites a lot of things, but Patriotic should never be one of them.

Listening to the Morning Joe panel this morning, they had some interesting points -
Nikki is trying to have it both ways and trying to keep herself viable and relevant.
If she was so concerned about what Kelly and Tillerson were asking of her, why didn’t she take her concerns to Trump?
She also stated that if Kelly and Tillerson were so against the president’s policies and actions that they should have quit. Kelly and Tillerson were concerned that the president’s policies were bad and would get people killed. The president’s policies were bad and have gotten people killed, and Kelly and Tillerson both did quit - as did others. So what is Nikki’s point?

If I were in Haley’s position, this is the last thing I would do. It 's almost like she imagined that Trump would be pleased for her to do this.
And, even if he was, Trump’s promises of “reward” for doing so are meaningless.

I wish they’d cut it all. I wouldn’t even want to hear the Three Tenors Christmas Concert or The Messiah on a loop. The enforced commercial holiday atmosphere always makes me want to throw up. So three cheers for shopping online! But I have to say the stuff they play in the drugstores like CVS and Rite Aid are the worst. Staff has to wear Santa hats and antlers in some of them too.

I heard her on the radio this morning saying that since the Ukrainians didn’t investigate Biden and Donald did release the aid there was no crime. Poor Donald, tried everything in his power to commit a crime but it just didn’t work out, now we just have to let him go. Odd people these Conservatives.

That’s one take on it. But trying to climb up on a make believe podium of “non partisan” to scold everyone as being partisan, doesn’t make that take correct.
Here is another take on the situation…Tillerson was fighting to maintain his job as Sec of State at a time where he is every action was actively being undermined by others in the Administration…despite him attempting to appease Trump by gutting his own department.
Kelly’s big grip was always that Trump was disorganized and didn’t know how to run the government efficiently; he didn’t have much heartburn over what Trump was trying to do, just that he wasn’t very good at getting it done, and Kelly wanted to improve that. And of course, it should be mentioned that Kelly saw himself as the ultimate puppet master when he got tagged to be CoS.
The principals in both are highly questionable; Tillerson wasn’t looking out for the best interests of the country when he started gutting the State department and chasing off career foreign officers. Kelly wasn’t looking out for the best interests of the country during his time at DHS, nor during his time as CoS, where he opposed literally no Trump policy of any significance. Trying to paint them both as noble people flies in the face of the actual evidence.
And I do find it quite humorous, that after lecturing us on how ethical two old white men are, without providing any evidence, you immediately slam the brown woman for being an “unscrupulous opportunist”. Not that I don’t think she is opportunistic, but there is no evidence that she acted any worse than either Tillerson or Kelly (and arguments can be made that both of acted quite a bit more unethically).

The analogy I used over the weekend was, just because I guy sees police lights in his rear mirror and starts dumping the illegal drugs and guns out the window, doesn’t mean he wasn’t committed a crime.

Is it your perception that “Trumpism” is the Republican Party’s first foray into “Bolshevik style Orwellian NewThink”?
How do you ascertain whether Tillerson’s and Kelly’s less-insane acts were more in service of their own interests or the Republic’s? (Obviously most people are not single-motivation automatons.)

Haley quit her job so she wouldn’t be injured in a poo-flinging tweetstorm of the sort that’s ended a lot of careers in this administration. So who is she to criticize those who stuck it out and got caught in the crossfire?
But to undermine a president is really a very dangerous thing,
It can be…maybe you should have pointed that out to Trump when he started his ‘birther’ campaign.
