On Monday, the official said she would send a deputy in her place … in a week.

That’s understandable, as Emily Murphy has a lot of job interviews scheduled for this week.

Where is the ever-popular Cage of Small Brown Children? The MAGAts would pay big bucks for an attraction like that.

In an interview Monday afternoon on MSNBC, Quigley noted that Congress has the power to compel Murphy’s testimony.

“We’re keeping all the options open,” he said.

Fantastic. Problem solved then. Right?

Michigan certified 3-1. But I suspect that means absolutely zero to her.

Send the sergeant at arms to pick her ass up out of her overstuffed office chair. It is time the woman did her job.

We are Republicans. Like dogs, we do certain things because we can

And, when not interviewing for a job, she’ll be under her desk. I suspect she is probably terrified of testifying and is doing anything to get out of it. Where that next job will come from, who knows, serving drinks at Mar la Gogo?

How about when all of the states have certified their results? Will you sign the letter of ascertainment then? When the Electoral College votes Biden as the winner on 12/14? When the Congress votes on 01/06? When Biden take the oath of office on 01/20?

Actually, Lindsey Graham and Gym Jordan have used it several times recently.

Often, together.

But, not for official business.

Are we talking light bondage here, or the serious stuff?

Lawfare blog refers to Trump’s effort to discredit the 2020 election as the “greatest disinformation event in US history.” Sounds suspiciously like Ms. Murphy is engaging in fraud or a conspiracy against the country and citizens she is sworn to protect. This was initially minor foot-dragging, but no longer.

And let us not forget that Emily Murphy allowed Don the Con to continue profiting from his hotel Even though the contract clearly said he could not continue to do so while he held public office . . . . .

The better for her to clutch them when those congressmen quest. . . ahem “harass” her with their questions!

I honestly don’t get why any women like pearls. They’ve never attracted me and I look at wearing them to be about as conservative as you can get and boring too.

Actually - per NY Times -
“the board, comprising two Democrats and two Republicans, voted 3 to 0 with one abstention to certify the results” not that it made a difference … but interesting - the vein of cowardice is certainly consistent … the MAGAs scream fraud, fraud, fraud - but when asked in a court room "are you alleging “Fraud?” … "OH OH NO your honor … just improper procedure " - because they can’t prove it because they have never produced any evidence !!

So here the contrarian - shys away from a “NO” vote for which accountability could come back to hurt them … no, they just “abstain” … less accountability … and they can tell all their little white supremacist buddies that they did not vote to “approve”
