A day after Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced his plans to run for leader again, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) obediently fired a shot across the bow on Wednesday night on behalf of former President Donald Trump, who’s declared war on McConnell for insufficient loyalty.
“I’m not going to vote for anybody for leader of the Senate as a Republican unless they can prove to me that they can advocate an ‘American First’ agenda and have a working relationship with President Trumpthe handler sitting on all those ‘party’ photos I idiotically posted on Grindr instructs me to,” the South Carolina Republican declared.
And McConnell threatens Graham with no RNC money for campaigning above and beyond the funding that he;'s entitled to when he runs for re-election. At which point, Miss Lindsay sits down and becomes quiet.
The Senate GOP was beginning to show some separation from Trump. McConnell must loathe him, but the calculus most of them seem to be using is that they need Trump’s support in 2022. After that they need him off the ticket before 2024. I imagine the debate within what’s left of the establishment GOP simply centers on timing, and that creatures like Graham justify their craven behavior using related arguments.
Really, this is a very generous deal we’re making with you. We will issue orders returning you to the States—really, we will—and all you have to do in return is…”
“What? What must I do?”
Colonel Korn laughed curtly. “Like us.”
Yossarian blinked. “Like you?”
“Like us.”
“Like you?”
“That’s right,” said Colonel Korn, nodding, gratified immeasurably by Yossarian’s guileless surprise and bewilderment. “Like us. Join us. Be our pal. Say nice things about us here and back in the States. Become one of the boys. Now, that isn’t asking too much, is it?”
“You just want me to like you? Is that all?”
“That’s all.”
“That’s all?”
“Just find it in your heart to like us.”
Yossarian wanted to laugh confidently when he saw with amazement that Colonel Korn was telling the truth.
I think this is a continuation of the Rounds/Trump pissing match.
Rounds said there was no election fraud in the presidential election and that Biden won last Sunday. Trump responded the next day with heavy criticism of Rounds, to which McConnell, Thune and others countered by backing Rounds. I imagine this is Trump using his boy Lindsay to get the last word.
But if not McConnell, then who? I can’t think of a single Trump supporting senator who can challenge Mitch. In any case, I hope Democrats increase their margins and make this conversation moot.
And knowing Graham, he probably went to Mitch the moment he got off the air to say he didn’t mean it at all.
From what I’ve read, he’s been “seeking the services” of male sex-workers in DC for many years.
But he makes them all sign an NDA before activities can commence. One of his sex-workers was on Twitter trying to get others who “service” Lindsey to group together for support, and defy their NDA’s. They don’t appreciate his hypocrisy one bit.
And if TFG didn’t already know about this, Putin sure gave him the pictures.
Lindsey Graham has a way of saying one thing, absolutely swearing by it, then shamelessly doing the opposite when it suits him. He is a worm, a worm I tell you.
