Graham sure is spending an awful lot of energy to stay quiet.

If Graham had nothing to hide he would have testified already.

I’ve never seen Lindsey work so hard not to say anything. Usually he can’t resist an opportunity to talk about anything.

It’s really amazing how a member of Congress just doing their regular business can be so averse to anyone finding out just what they said – whether it is to ask a question of someone or to attempt to “persuade” someone about anything that is in line with the legitimate function of the office. This particular senator is the squirmiest guy for someone who prides himself on being a JAG and knowing all the best rules of conduct. I suppose he’ll break down and weep openly if nobody saves him from testifying.

“No one is above the law, period. “ not the president, not TFG and no, not Senator “Prissy” Graham. Particularly when they suggest throwing out legally cast votes. Duh? Just criminal these people can get away with this kind of behavior. Totally sick of it.

Article1 Section 6 reads in part as follows
“They shall in all cases, except treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace be privileged from arrest during their attendance at the session of their respective Houses and in the going to or returning from the same and for any speech or debate in either House they shall not be questioned in any other place”
… … … … …
Is Lindsey in attendance of a session?
Is he going to or returning from a session?
what about a debate in the senate?
Is the subpoena concerning a felony?
Seems to me Lindsey should answer the damned questions.

What we are seeing is indeed so, Graham standing firm on the Screech and Deflate defense.

I didn’t. All I did was quote what was there in my copy of the document. And I asked if a felony was involved, if Lindsey was going to or from a session and stuff like that.

“Your Honor, must I testify if the Speech & Debate Clause won’t protect me from perjury if I testify falsely?”

It occurs to me that Lindsey could be questioned in the Senate chamber and Not be troubled about a case of perjury. However if questioned elsewhere then oopsie…

I’m guessing Lindsey wants to remain out of prison and electable.
For some reason, he imagines that testifying will adversely effect one or both of those.
Can’t figure out why.

I’m making fun of originalists and literalists in regards to the constitution man! There’s always wiggle room though, for the right team.
