Glad to know that us regular citizens are only important in his eyes to further his “brand”. I’d like to take a hot poker and …

Well then that will add some cache to his brand.

I meant on a case by case basis, not as a whole movement.
Maybe with all the data there might be a holistic clue or two, but what I mean is to plumb the social networking history of each individual and determine where their partisanship turned into sedition.
Case by case, person by person.
There will be some who are hard to pinpoint, but most of them will have common markers that clearly delineate when their extremism kicked in. Key words, mutual hate speech, whatever those markers are we need to study them and find the ones that are more subtle or obscure. .

That point where bull sessions and violence wanking turned into criminal conspiracy?

it may be that obvious in many cases…

It was an inside job.
And it still is.
They are setting it up, no Senate impeachment.
Trump and the plotters are in charge.
The Republicans are all in.
I give Biden a 25% chance of being inaugurated as the next President.

He’ll try. And his Brownshirts will try again to overturn the election results and our Rule of Law between now and when Biden takes office. They have announced their intention to stage a Million Militia March to Stop the Steal.

Unless Trump is held accountable by the Senate next week, he will continue to conduct rallies and incite the insurgents to commit more violence. If McConnell doesn’t want to be seen by posterity as an accomplice to whatever damage they do in the interim, he needs to call the Senate back to Washington ASAP and start conducting a legislative trial.

After Noon next Thursday when Biden takes the oath of office, Donald becomes eligible to be charged with federal, state and local crimes again. Until then, Barr has declared that he and his private army can rape, burn and pillage to his heart’s content. He’ll pardon all of them.

House Republicans who refused to impeach today just gave Trump cover to do just that after six people have already died. May God have mercy on their souls.

How many more people must die?

Good point. We have all kinds of people who have never had a parking ticket who will now be looking at time in the joint. Includes congress members Reality will bite them hard and I friggin’ love it. People in law enforcement taking selfies so they can be arrested. Did they think they would get away with this, that they would be treated like some kind of Saviors of the Nation? What were they thinking?

I was thinking of going with “STFU” but we’ll go with yours for now…

The MAGA already have stated that they will strike again either this weekend and/or on the 17, 20 or 21…all over the country. Put on your seat belt, it’s going to be a very violent period in our country. Trump is their leader and still has not conceded to Biden.

They thought about it and decided they didn’t care. They are not stupid. They’re gangsters.

expulsion and a prohibitions from holding elective office for the rest of their lives

Sooooooo… dare I hope that whoever gets expelled from their office will be replaced by their chief competitor in the last election? Or will the relevant governor get to have an auction?

For one thing, the head of the GAO (the Comptroller General) doesn’t serve at the pleasure of the President. The GAO is part of the Legislative Branch and its head can only be removed by a joint resolution of Congress or by impeachment.

Yeah, the GAO doesn’t mess around.

The GAO doesn’t mess around, but it doesn’t have the power to impose consequences.

As we’ve seen during the Trump presidency, unless Congress and/or the other branches take actions based on its findings, expect it to be another report collecting dust.

That’s why it’s nice that, as of next week, Democrats will control both houses of Congress.
