One of the few traits we know for sure about Trump is he is incompetent and so are all of his enablers. The next time this happens we might not be so lucky and at least some of the co-conspirators might be able to plan and pull something like the insurrection off. That is why there have to be consequences for Trump and his clownish conspirators now.

Well, in the specific case of the military, UCMJ article 94 (b) says:
A person who is found guilty of attempted mutiny, mutiny, sedition, or failure to suppress or report a mutiny or sedition shall be punished by death or such other punishment as a court-martial may direct.
(Emphasis added)

There should be tapes archived by Capitol Security cameras of which Congressmen and Senators and which of the violent insurgents walked hand-in-hand around the crime scene as they planned what they were going to do the next day. I hope they smiled, so history can see how excited they were.
Some of the very people voting today against the impeachment of the leader of the revolt are in very serious jeopardy of being indicted for the most horrendous federal crimes any American can face…conspiring to stage a violent overthrow of our government.
They also stalled the debate to insure that the Vice President, Speaker of the House and Senate Pro Temp were kept on the floor so the plot would work better to hang Pence, take the Speaker and other House & Senate leadership hostage and then terrorize the rest till they handed over the Legislative Branch to the Executive.
