This stuff isn’t just some RWNJ spouting off. It’s propaganda straight out of the Hitler-Goebbels playbook. This is a deliberate strategy that will be used wherever there are deemed to be enough stupid people to lap it up. Florida and Michigan, for example. As well as all the redder states, of course.

This asshole has been representing me for years, first in the Michigan House, now in the Michigan Senate. He makes a big deal out of being an Iraq vet. A couple years ago he flew a National Guard helicopter to a high school football game and landed it on the field at halftime. He loves stunts like this to rev up his base and piss off the libs. I’ll get a chance to vote against him again when he takes on incumbent dem Elyssa Slotkin for the US House seat. Partly because of our recent redistricting done by an independent commission, I’m hopeful that she’ll beat him.

Democratic leaders wouldn’t address the bullshit about critical race theory because they didn’t want to be labeled as “woke”. They should have stood tall and loudly called bullshit but instead the timidity endemic to this party took over. And we lost Virginia. And now the Democratic Party is the party of CRT as colonized by the Republican Party. I hope that being called a pedophile, as Republicans are now calling all Democrats, at least makes every single Democratic leader and candidate a little uncomfortable. At least a little. Enough anyway to set aside any timidity and perhaps call out this new, aberrant and abhorrent bullshit. Every single Democrat officeholder and candidate needs to google Mallory McMorrow. She gets it.
