But Trump is still his boy in November.

2020 is one of the country’s most important election. You are right: we have the opportunity to win the White House as well as the Senate. Y=This is big. We all need to cooperate to get out the vote and support the Dems.

NASCAR, the NFL, and now even the Senator from Oklahoma are pedaling away from Trump on racism and the confederate emblem.

And when Trump pushed back against Goodell and Drew Brees, they firmly let him know he’s on his own. Times indeed are a changing. I definitely didn’t see this coming even 1 short month ago.

Rupert Murdoch figures into Trump World in a big way…as well as Team Trump eyeing Sinclair and QAnon as progressions down the Rabbit Hole.

The constant in all of this is

The White Nationalism Trump espouses (which he mistakenly believes will get him re-elected).

Now that’s a campaign ad

Trump walked down the steps one foot followed by the other foot on the same step. The contrast with the older individual beside him who did not go down the steps that way was glaring.

Also glaring was the way–once down the stairs–he tried to brazen it out by trying to look like he was confidently striding.

During WWII, there was a submarine named the U.S.S. Barb, after the type of fish.

It had an impressive record against the Japanese, sinking nearly 100,000 tons of shipping, and being distinguished as the only submarine to ever “sink” a freight train.

Steven Miller is so angry about this development, he’s going to boil and eat an extra immigrant child tonight.

Apologies to Jonathan Swift.

Lankford seems to have a reasonable approach to reforming police departments and is lining up with Democrats’ approaches to policing in general including House members Omar and Clyburn.

Senator James Lankford, Republican of Oklahoma, said he supported a national ban on chokeholds, though the legislation still being drafted in the Senate is not expected to have such a prohibition. “Absolutely, we should have that,” he said on ABC. “That was one of the things that we should have engaged in a long time ago.”

Somehow, “Yakity Sax” seems more appropriate, than deep bass lines.

Just to pile on and me-three the observation that this was a telling comment. He’s learned the history, he understands the motivation and the subtext, he’s dredging it up from the muck and saying look at this, it’s ugly, it’s wrong, we know now there’s no way forward but to keep working toward equality. That’s an honesty and vision we haven’t seen much from this crowd. I fail to see how in itself it’s inadequate or hypocritical. I think we should say, well, this is a green shoot in a burned-over landscape, it’s a good thing. By the law of averages, some of them have to see that this retrograde racism isn’t a good long-term approach.
