Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), New York’s GOP gubernatorial nominee, was attacked by a man who allegedly tried to stab the candidate as he was holding a campaign event on Thursday.
Not to worry, once he’s on pretrial release I’m sure he’ll have no inclination at all to buy a legal handgun with no waiting period and legally concealed carry it to Zeldens next campaign event where he could legally brandish the weapon while looking for rioters and then valiantly engage in self defense after several bystanders attempts to disarm him.
If only there was someway to have foreseen and prevented this horrible tragedy.
Hey, mess around, support treason and find out. This pos voted against certification of the presidential election even after the mob of insurrectionists attempted to overthrow our government.
As I recall, only sleeveless shirts and military grade firearms are protected by the constitution. These knife wielders have no constitutional protections what-so-ever. Especially if they’re attacking patriots like Zeldin.
Interesting detail—the weapon was a kind of brass knuckles shaped like a cat face, where you put two fingers through the eye holes and the ears stick out to mess up a person you punch. I guess it’s more dangerous than a toy gun that pops out a flag that says “Bang!” but it’s not so terribly fearsome of a weapon in the scheme of things.
I think the dude has issues. He was right there in Zeldin’s face and if he’d meant to hurt him he could have. I mean, with some sort of real weapon like a rock. Sometimes people seem to instinctively know they should be in the system, and these halfhearted non-attacks are their rather misguided way to start the process. I’ve seen it happen. Betcha twenty bucks he ends up with probation and counseling.
Yeah. Saw the hat. He’s 43, drunk in the day, wandering up and threatening people with something that’s barely a weapon. Would seem to need help mostly.
