GOP NY Guv Nominee Zeldin Attacked On Stage While Campaigning

I’m going to be very Republican and not wait for an investigation or further revelations; I think this was a “false flag” operation. I will be very pleased to be proven wrong, as I have no wish to see anyone injured or killed over a political contest. ETA: Breitbart has already (falsely) claimed that Governor Hochul was implicated in this attack. More lies.

Does Breitbart say Hochul commands a secret private army of drunk dudes with novelty plastic brass knuckles? Big if true. But I tend to doubt it. We’re getting into Gateway Pundit-land with that.

Seems to be intended as a self-defense weapon, but honestly looks so flimsy and cheaply made as to not be very effective.

Apparently they accused her campaign of publishing his itinerary. (I didn’t read it, but saw it referenced in another thread here.)

Please, please let Jacubonis NOT be a Democrat…

How else would you suggest getting it past airport security?

Handy that the campaign workers carry zip ties with them. Must be refugees from Trump’s campaign.

It’s kind of cute, actually. But for self-protection it would make a hell of a lot more sense to read up on how and how not to walk down a street, go from your car to your house, make your house less attractive to burglars and other miscreants, that sort of thing.

You can see it from the replies to Gov Hochul’s tweet denouncing the attack.

Basically, trying to say the attack ads against Zeldin are ‘incitement’ because they truthfully portray his position and call him ‘extreme’. Also, she apparently emailed Zeldin’s upcoming public schedule to her supporters.

It’s a bad faith attempt to blame Hochul, but I hold little hope that it won’t be picked up and amplified by the media.

Nope. It’s for scratching up the paint on that car parked next to yours bearing the bumper stickers of your political adversaries.

This is always illegitimate. I might have more to say later.

So it was Zeldin’s mother with the zip ties for the win?

I saw last night that they took them off campaign signs. Which doesn’t make sense since those things are pretty hard to reuse. On the other hand I can see workers having them handy to bundle them up for distribution.

Whatever the case, I saw the video and it was literally seconds before the guy was zip-tied. If he hadn’t been carrying that doo-hickey it would have looked set up.
