GOP Groups Try To Make Peace With Trump After Cease-And-Desist Spat | Talking Points Memo

GOP = Grovelling Obsequious Prostitutes

I think ā€˜cease and desist spat’ mismeasures the dynamic. Trump doesn’t really do spats–and he doesn’t do spats that end in his demands being rejected. He will keep trying to dominate the GOP and will use every lever at his disposal to do so. Since he has no actual levers of power, he will have to use the only weapon really available to him: his power to negatively influence his followers. This could be trouble for the GOP.

At this point, I assume Who? could walk into any of their homes and freely piss on their furniture…and they would just say…would you please shit there, too?

The popular definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. The GOP made a deal with the devil. There won’t be peace until Trump has shuffled off this mortal coil.

The latest chapter. Trump issues a cease and desist. Everyone scrambles to make nice and move a large banquet to Mar a lago – likely at twice the price as the original venue. Once the contract is signed, Trump demands his followers defund the RNC and send him all the donations. This is never going to end.

If you have ever known a actual narcissist, you should know that they destroy what they can’t have. It is unbearable for Trump to imagine the GOP as a successful party without him. He’s going to burn it down.

There are laws and controls covering the use of funds in Not-for-Profits.

These laws should apply to PACs.

It’s fucking ridiculous.

But if we take away their corporate slush funds, they might have to find real jobs.

It isn’t just legal fees. There’s also bribes, kickbacks, and all the other hidden costs of doing business the Trump way.

The former president … vowed to campaign against Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), who supported his impeachment

This I want to see. Eaten by a rabid caribou after his limo driver gets lost in the snow on the way to the rally.

And grift. He pays money to family members for ā€œconsultingā€, but imagine if the trump org of interlocking companies starts offering campaign and market services as well as accomodations. IIRC the record for a republican fundraising/consulting/etc is 97% of funds raised kept as ā€œexpensesā€.

Point taken. He does not need any extra motivation to grift. It’s in his molecular makeup to do so.

I fully support the Republican Party and important GOP Committees, but I do not support RINOs and fools,

He would have called them gypsies, tramps, and thieves, but I don’t think Cher would have allowed it. I really like Cher.

Pees in our time?

Trump is a guy who evidently sold plenty of young women on the idea that if they had sex with him, they wouldn’t get pregnant. You would think that republicans would have learned by now that if you try to work with Trump, the rule is: ā€œIn for a penny. In for a pound.ā€

Gosh, I thought it was so obvious as to be a bit tedious. Maybe I should start charging more. :money_mouth_face:
