Yeah, I don’t agree with Josh on that. There are big rifts in the local and state levels. Those fights aren’t going to show much in public until they start getting candidates and lining up for primaries. Then, Katy bar the door!
In my county, the factions of the Republican Party hate each other in a way that makes the Bernie/DNC spat look quaint. They’ve held it together for the last 6 or 7 years, with the factions only suing each other and ratfucking each other’s candidates a few times, but I can’t see it not boiling over next year.
Kemp chose Loeffler over Doug Collins, who paid off Trump for the appointment, because Loeffler’s husband paid off Kemp.
That said, Josh Marshall in his blog today available to everyone pretty much says it all about the GOP:

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) announced she will file a resolution Monday to strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) of her House committee assignments, chiding Greene, who she said has “brought shame on the entire House of Representatives.”
Wasserman Schultz said Monday that her resolution would remove Greene from her assignments on the “House Education and Labor, and the House Budget committees.”
“If she had honor, of course, she would resign. If she possessed shame, censure and an apology might suffice,” Wasserman Schultz said Monday at a news conference. “Expulsion is a fitting punishment, but it takes a two-thirds vote of the House, and that would require support from enough Republicans who aren’t morally bankrupt, which is unlikely.”
She said removing Greene from committees would reduce the “future harm she can cause in Congress.”
I’m happy that Dems control all three branches of government for the time being but in the midterms as history tells us the party in the WH loses seats in the House, BHO did as well as 45. But with three R senators who won’t be running in 2022, Burr, Toomey and Portman, we also have the chance to vote for the Democrat who’ll be running against each of them.
There’s also the possibility that the economic changes that the Biden/Harris admin will bring and addressing the pandemic could persuade just enough independents to vote for Democrats when they can, Independents making up a bigger voting bloc than either Rs or Ds
Most Republican senators retire because they can make more money working for a crazy right wing “think tank” then they can as senators. Or to put another way, with their eyes on their next job for themselves or family members, don’t bet on retiring GOP Senators to be anything other then what they have always been including before announcing their retirement.
Greene is part of Q’s plan to defeat the real child-abusing devil worshippers — Trumpians — once and for all, and to bring the Democratic Party into eternal prominence.
It’s like idiot after idiot who throws themselves on Team Trump because, though everyone else has been wrecked, they’re the one who can really pull it off.
This is what their base wants. They’ll be calling for his death or resignation soon enough.
I’m not talking about retired senators and their aim of making as much money as they can. When they’re retired they’re not in government and certainly not in the senate

Another conspiracy theory Greene has given air to is that lasers started the California wildfires.
I rewatched Robocop (1987 version) last night and one of the fake news stories in that film was a space-laser-started wildfire in Santa Barbara that killed thousands; including two ex-Presidents.
Given that she has landed on some committees, including the Education committee, I’d say her influence has been understated. She’s brand new and exerting a lot of influence right now. Whether it lasts or not, we’ll see. But she’s enjoying a lot of attention and support right now, regardless of her CD population size.
