Trying to relay, through Meadows, to another genius who no doubt eats paste directly from the jar
If the Game Plan as Axios reports it is true, then kudos to Axios. Sunshine being the best disinfectant
PS: I used to work with Josh Gerstein. I am soooo proud of him
Oh, this is hilarious. They’ve used Roe to gin up support from the antiabortion crowd who have moved mountains to get a S.C. that would overturn Roe. The consensus in the U.S.A. is for abortion to be legal and safe. It’s not hard to refute the right wing.
Such is the state of the 4th estate that has been cowering in fear of being called the liberal media
I’m fairly sure that Ginni Thomas is not only the leaker, but the actual author of the draft opinion.
She’s tired of the boys getting credit for her hard work in dismantling the rule of law in this country.
I read Moscow Mitch’s comment and laughed and laughed and laughed.
Disagree, it’s the drinking of bleach, obviously.
Kind of OT, admittedly:
Hmm, McCarthy . . . lemme tinker with the wording here a bit, ask you to stroll down Memory Lane to January 6, 2021, and see what you think of the result:
“This clearly coordinated campaign to intimidate and obstruct the Congress from upholding the Constitution must be immediately investigated.”
I do hope you’d agree with this sentiment and cooperate with your colleagues’ ongoing, already-in-progress investigation.
Maybe the Court is kind of like a corporation?
“This lawless action should be investigated and punished to the fullest extent possible,” McConnell announced.
Corrected to later add what he implied… ONLY if it is found to be a Democrat appointed judge.
And this is what puts American freedom at risk. Of course, it could be argued that we all lost any right to privacy when the Congress passed the Patriot Act.
I think this is right. It also explains Roberts’ unusual (to my mind) public stating of his own position on the decision. He didn’t have to do that out loud; making it public means, now, that we are aware, before the actual decision announcement, of the options the conservatives have–stuff that usually comes out, sometimes, yeas after decisions are announced.
Remember when the fear in the GOP of a Kennedy presidency was that he’d be taking orders from the pope?
Is there some law against leaking a draft decision? As far as I can tell the Supreme Court doesn’t even have ethics rules. If it did, Thomas would have been forced to recuse during the Monsanto trial.
And this:
The original Roe v Wade decision was also leaked.
But what about the court’s constitutional right to privacy? Their docket, their choice. <\s>
But only for the male justices of course!
And women are no longer protected from involuntary servitude by the 13th amendment. We are just incubation devices, property of the State, and we can be put into gestational slavery as a matter of states’ rights
.
Huh, totally not planned, huh?
