On Tuesday morning, Senate Minority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) had one thing to say about the leaked draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade: the problem was the leak.
Yeah it always pisses you off when somebody publishes a spoiler. But again, here there was question on the result of this case, no matter what the nominees had told Susan Collins.
Either they leaked it themselves to manufacture all their countermessaging about “insurrection” before the J6C hearings kick off in June OR
THE WORD YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IS WHISTLEBLOWER.
This exposed the corruption and rot under the robes, not least of which is to evade questions and tell BALD FACED LIES TO CONGRESS TO GET CONFIRMED. And don’t forget the abject, rabid cultural resentment bordering on hate that it exposed too.
“Leaks” are never anything to complaint about unless what they exposed can’t stand the antiseptic light of day.
What’s going to happen with McC if it is determined that it was either one of the justices or one of their spouses (there’s really only one that would be possible) that did the leak?
Wanna bet he drops this whole idea like a hot potato.
fumed House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in a statement. “This clearly coordinated campaign to intimidate and obstruct the Justices from upholding the Constitution must be immediately investigated"
So how many abortion cases have made to the SC since Roe v Wade? How many times have Justices had the opportunity to do with the argument they are using now to strike down Roe? And Kev…like how many chances has the court had to correct this since Mitch has been in DC?
If it was them or some republican aide/clerk, then Moscow Mitch ALREADY KNOWS ABOUT IT AND WHO IT IS.
They were way…WAY…too prepared to instantaneously flip the switch to scream “insurrection worse than January 6th” in unison as a coordinated messaging campaign the SECOND the whistleblowing became public. I won’t believe this was some “leftist” or concerned citizen as opposed to them manufacturing their own grievance countermessaging unless and until it’s proven.
And if it IS some concerned whistleblower, I’d bet dollars to donuts that they did it because the GQP was planning to drag their feet on releasing the opinion until after the mid-terms.
