Beyond Hitler, we’re now at the stage here in the US where Thomas Jefferson, who wrote some of the most moving and inspirational words which have guided this nation’s striving towards liberty and democracy for over two centuries, now has to be torn down, vilified, and removed from the history books and public squares because he didn’t live up to those words.

Wow. Okay. “Beyond Hitler”? As in, it’s bad enough that humanity had denied Hitler his good points, now Americans are going to deny Jefferson his good points? I agree with much of what you say because I feel the same way you do about things but I realize that we can’t be fighting each other, and regardless of our differences in opinion we have to work together to change our situation and preserve our Democracy. I’m willing to do that. No matter who we supported in 2016 we’re facing a different enemy now and we must prevail at all costs. It’s not going to be easy.

I like Waffle House coffee and McDonald’s is pretty good too but 8 O’Clock coffee is still my favorite.

McDonald’s must have changed their policies. They used to have a standard minimum holding temperature of 190 F in their urns, and were dinged if the temperature was below that.

At 190 F all the volatile compounds blow off in a hurry, and what you’re left with is a nasty, bitter, brown aqueous solution of caffeine. A good description of it was “undrinkable”.
