Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) and Texas GOP chair Allen West will brush shoulders with such QAnon luminaries as Michael Flynn and Sidney Powell at a conference in Dallas over Memorial Day weekend.
The Webster’s definition of the word “imbecile” should be changed to read, “A person who pays $1,000 to meet Louie Gohmert, Allen West, Sidney Powell and Michael Flynn.”
”Popa ended his show with a prayer to bless the event and speakers, in an odd mix of QAnon and Christianity.”
Today’s GOP is defined by these two concepts.
One is a fantastic conspiracy theory, built on contradictions, failed predictions, and ever-shifting goalposts, that fleeces followers by promising the triumphant return and ultimate victory of their vanquished hero, who will crush his enemies.
The other, of course, is based on a mythical character named “Q”.
“The Omni Hotel is owned by the city of Dallas”.
So they’re having the Qanon Con at a socialist institution? I take it that the school book depository was booked for that weekend.
The hotel is owned by the City, which leases it to the Omni people (I don’t know whether it’s a franchisee or Omni itself). The hotel is part of the city’s big convention center project that opened around a decade ago.
How hilariously stupid are these people?! They invited Sidney Powell who has already admitted she was lying about her ridiculous election fraud claims that “no reasonable person would believe.” And she’s just as dumb as a stump and will undoubtedly say something that gets her in even more trouble. This is hilarious!
