Less than two weeks after his law license was suspended in New York as a result of the lies he peddled in a bid to subvert the 2020 election on former President Trump’s behalf, Rudy Giuliani was dealt another blow with his suspension from practicing law in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.
Bummer.

Certainly well deserved. But infuriating that the man at the center of it all is still out there stoking violence and, quite possibly, another insurrection. Hopefully, DoJ starts moving up the chain to corral the ringleaders pretty quickly.
If only these suspensions would force Rudy to keep his effing mouth shut!

I’m just going say that Trump must have some dark magical force shielding him from the consequences of his actions. And with that said I do believe that I may be only one here that thinks the boom is going to keep coming down hard on those around Trump, while he the orange stinky cheese that stands alone.
And you may think that this is wrong, or unfair, but I’m willing to let those around Trump, the hanger-ons, the lackeys, and just the dumb ones get caught in the net of justice and karma. Because when all is said and done Trump will be alone, something that he can’t stand. Welp, this answers my question a few weeks about whether ghoulsie could fall back on his DC accreditation. Nopitey nope, nope, nope. I think this also closes off any route to federal standing.
Wait a minute…I’m clearly not a lawyer, but WHAT is the news here? His license was ordered suspended, but then that order was stayed pending the outcome in NY. So if the suspension is stayed, then he should still be able to practice in D.C., no??
it’s fun to bash on Rudy, but as with so much “white collar” stuff, if there’s no enforcement, there’s no consequence. What am I missing???

suspended from the practice of law in the District of Columbia pending final disposition of this proceeding, effective on the date of entry of this order,” the order reads. “It is FURTHER ORDERED that this proceeding [emphasis added] is hereby stayed pending the resolution of the disciplinary matter in New York.”
It appears that it is the proceeding itself is what has been stayed rather than the suspension. Meaning, I think, that this “case” is still open until NY makes their final determination.
